disney express luggage

There was a sign at Hotel Cheyenne saying this, so I imagine it is possible :)
Don't suppose you remember if it was per person, or per piece of luggage, or what the cost was?

Perhaps I should just stop being a skinflint and go for the Express Service? :faint:

Thanks again for the indepth answers but just one more question, Raci what was the fantasyland breakfast all about, and does it cost extra?

Did you have to pay for this, or was it simply a case of just asking? Also, is it available to all rooms, we are booked into a standard room.

We haven't added Express to our booking next year as yet, as I thought £14 per person when you only have a large holdall and a smaller hand luggage sized case was a bit steep.

I am hoping there is some way of paying something at the hotel to have your luggage sent back on departure day, since I've read that is possible too.
As far as I remember we paid a small amount for the tea and coffee basket but I don't know how much. It also contained disposable cups, sugar sachets etc. It was mainly for my friend as I don't drink tea or coffee. But I do remember there were very few 'cups' because we took a couple extra each day back to the room from the breakfast buffet :rolleyes1 . I'm sure the kettle was free though, you just had to ask for it. I don't think which type of room you're in makes a difference. Maybe Jill will know as she was in a standard room at SL a couple weeks after we came back :confused3

I rang the Disney booking line today to add Disney Expess service. We paid a total of £15.40. It cost £14 for us to have Disney express on both journeys for me and my daughter. So we didn't pay per person although it is kids go free season so that might affect it. The extra £1.40 was a surcharge because I was adding something to an existing booking. Apparantly everytime you add something you get charged an extra 10% :sad2: I was none to pleased because I knew nothing about being able to book it when I booked the trip. Also I told the man at Disney direct we'd booked Eurostar seperately so he should have said. But never mind I would have paid up to £20 just because it made everything so much easier :thumbsup2

It is expensive if you don't have much luggage but I guess it would also make a difference which hotel you were at.

When we stayed at SL there was a sign about paying for it on the return trip but I'm sorry I can't remember prices or anything. Did someone say you're going at Easter? If so maybe someone on an earlier trip could check details for you, let me know if you'd like me to in Jan :)

Good Morning Fantasyland Breakfast (sometimes shortened to GMF on websites) is a free option only available to guests at Disney Hotels. Although not at DLH and poss NY. Its definatly available at Sequoia Lodge. There are a limited number of places so its worth booking before you go if possible as sometimes if you ask at the hotel when you arrive there are no places left.

It means you get to have breakfast in a resturaunt in Fantasyland instead of at the hotel. Its lovely to be in the park when its quiet. There were the same food choices as in the hotel but IMO a nicer setting. You go into the park an hour earlier than the park opens. About half hour in they open a few of the rides in Fantasyland too. I remember dumbo and carousel were open then not sure about any others.

Only thing I'm not sure about is if Extra Magic Hours have changed anything since our trip, I'm going to start a new thread to ask because I haven't been able to book it yet.

Oh 1 other thing it is not a character breakfast.
Hope that helps :)

Sorry, can't help on the kettle, I always take my own along with coffee, chocolate drinks etc.
I know about the little hamper though we were given a complimentary one at the NPB last year and it lasted us a few days, I don't think they're overly expensive. :)

Thanks, I think what we might do is take some hot chocolate sachets and tea bags, maybe even a couple of travel cups, and ask for a kettle.

I suspect that you didn't have to pay for your daughter and children go free, you simply paid for one adult. Since my daughter counts as an adult, we would have to pay for two adults, this seems a bit steep to me considering children probably have more luggage than adults :lmao:

Yes please, could you check in January for me? It would be more useful on the return trip, but if the cost is not much different, then I may as well pay it up front anyway :)

Here is a pic of the sign they had up at SL about Disney Express:

Thank you so much for all your help with this Raci, looks like we can have luggage transferred for €4.50 per item, which is a huge saving on the regular Disney Express charges! :thumbsup2

Thank you for taking the photo Raci :flower3: I've put a link to it in The Very Useful Info sticky. :thumbsup2

Hi, does anyone know if the Disney Express service applies to the off-site hotels too? I know it doesn't to Davy Crockett Ranch but I was thinking of Explorers or Holiday Inn?

The service is available at: all Disney hotels (except Davy Crockett), Hotel l'Elysee Val d'Europe, Pierre & Vacances City Aparthotel Val d'Europe, Radisson SAS Hotel, Holiday Inn, Kyriad Hotel, MyTravel's Explorers Hotel, Dream Castle Hotel.

I think!

Stupid question time...

When is Disneyland Express included in a package?

Not sure if we can do it yet but tempted by the Eurostar service from Ashford direct to Disneyland. If I booked with Eurostar is Express included or do we pay extra?

If you book with Eurostar you have to book the Disney Express service separately with Disney, and you do pay extra - £30 I think?

How does it work if you book the eurostar seperatly. Im going to add Disney Express to the booking nearer the date, lugging a buggy, a small child and suitcase by myself last time was alot of hassle.

I believe you just add it to your Disney booking - will be doing it myself soon for October.

Has anyone booked Disney Express whilst on the Eurostar or whilst checking in? Is this possible?

I have booked our Eurostar tickets (the direct service from St Pancras to DLRP) through Eurostar and have booked our Disney Package through Disney. When booking the Disney Package (by phone) I tried to add Disney Express to the package (happy to pay for it), but "it is only available to UK residents". I found (and continue to find) this rather frustrating!

We are catching the Eurostar from London (like UK residents) and do not understand why a foreign tourist, using the same mode of transport as a UK resident, has any less need for the Disney Express service :confused3 . Do they think that it is only UK residents that don't wish to lug their heavy cases, hand luggage and children to the hotel first to check in rather than being able to head straight to the park. Do people travelling on the Eurostar, who do not reside in the UK, not want to spend as much time in the parks as those who reside in the UK. I simply do not understand :confused3 , I do not understand why, ANYONE, regardless of the country of residence, can not use Disney Express service if they are travelling on the Eurostar if the service is available on the train they are catching :confused3 (can you tell I'm confused :rotfl: ).

I phoned Disney and asked about this twice, why can we not book the Disney Express Service for the Eurostar and the only answer they could give was that it was only for UK residents, so I said, yes but WHY? I can understand if there is a good reason! :confused3 But they could not give me an answer. Does anyone know the reason why anyone from any country other than the UK can not use the Disney Express Service when they are travelling on the Eurostar direct do Disneyland?

Our only hope is if we are able to organise it at the station or on board the train (and put on an English accent  and hope they don't realise we are not from the UK :lmao: )

Has anyone booked (and paid for) this service on the train or at the station in London? If so, did they ask you which country you reside? I mean we will take our cases and hand luggage to the hotel and if the service was not available wouldnt think twice about doing it and will do it if it can't be done at the train station in London or on the train, but it's when the service is available but we can not use it, for no other reason than we live in Australia not England!

Sorry for long blurb! Have got it off my chest now :goodvibes

Can you book it just one way? Were using the eurostar to get to DLRP but flying home?
