I'm looking to changing my hotel from the Dream Castle to the Santa Fe -- I know the Santa Fe is 2 stars less and from the reviews a lesser hotel than the Dream Castle (mad I know!) but I'm desperate for the EMH and don't intend to spend much time apart from to sleep in the hotel room. I know, for a fee, you can book the Disney Express from the Dream Castle to take your luggage to the Eurostar station on your last day but can I also do this from the Santa Fe and how much?

Also, where exactly will I need to pick up my luggage from when we go to the Eurostar to leave DLP and how much time should I allow to collect, check in and board the train?

Thanks peeps :thumbsup2

We used this facility last year and the charge was 10 euros per room. The station at DLP is really well sign posted and it's easy to find the left luggage. Personally I'd give at least an hour to collect your luggage and get on the train.

Awesome, thank you :thumbsup2 €10 per room is a bargain as then we don't have to lug our luggage to the Eurstar and pay to have them put in the lockers we can just leave it up to the hotel and head straight to the park :cheer2:

Do you need to request this service when you check-in or when you check-out?

Also, I don't suppose you know what time the Santa Fe starts serving breakfast do you?

you tell the receptionist at the Santa Fe the day before you are checking out (the checkout desk is at the left hand side of the main reception area, check-in desks are to the right).

Breakfast is served from 7am at the Santa Fe - and its best to go as early as you can, certainly before 7.45am, as its the quiestest and most pleasant time to have breakfast at the Santa Fe.

Elaine - when we stayed at the Cheyenne last year we paid for our Disney Express when we arrived and got given our express tickets by Hotel Concierge. Can we still pay and arrange it upon check in with the hotel concierge at Santa Fe?? Thanks

yes you can do this at the Santa Fe too :).

ooh that's good to know - might be best for me to do it at check in too as i can see i'll be bouncing around like tigger on the next day desperate to get to the park and will totally forget all about booking the disney express :rotfl:

ps. ali -- you'll have to let me know what you thought of the Santa Fe when you're back ... we've just changed our hotel to there :cool1:

Definitely - I usually take a good few hundred photo's!:rotfl: Altho I don't think we are going to bother with breakfast at the Santa Fe; as we have a character breakfast one morning and after being up late in the evening for Dreams think we are going to get up late and have a pastry at Chef Mickey!:goodvibes

Hundreds of photos sound good :thumbsup2 I go snap happy :rotfl2: Breakfast I think will be a scramble and is continental so don't think you'll be missing out much there -- your character brekkies will be much better!!

You mean you're NOT going to stop at Salon Mickey for coffee and a pastry with your new shiny shareholder card???

Are you in a Standard room or Eldorado room?

Oooh you'll have to let me know if they have hairdryers in their rooms :)

I love taking photo's at DLP! We've even invested in a portable DVD player so I can view the photo's on a bigger screen in the evening and re-take the following day if necessary!:goodvibes Added bonus of being able to watch Disney DVD's on the Eurostar!:goodvibes

It was definitely a scramble when we stayed at the Cheyenne last year and DH and I weren't too impressed with the breakfast; so we've decided this year to get up late and not bother with breakfast at the Santa Fe; as it will be late to bed every night after Dreams!:goodvibes

Yes definitely stopping at Salon Mickey every morning - hoping our card will turn up soon.

I think we are in a standard room; but whenever we go to DLP we spend so little time in the room - just somewhere to lay down and dream of Mickey!:goodvibes Altho I hope to one day stay in the Sequoia Lodge as the room we had for our honeymoon was amazing!:cloud9:

Oooh you'll have to let me know if they have hairdryers in their rooms :)

I've never had a hairdryer in our room at the Sequoia Lodge or Cheyenne; but you never know they might have added them to the rooms as part of the refurbishment!:goodvibes
