Disney Employment Information

Hi All,

I am a HUGE Disney fan like all of us and have dreams of one day working for Disney. I am a Computer Engineer and have been searching the Disney Job Listings for about a year and have not found a match for me yet.

Basically I am looking for someone out there who knows whether or not there are a lot of Computer / Electrical Engineers that work for Disney. If there are, how hard is it to get a job as an engineer? Any tips on how I would go about getting a foot in the door?

I admire your desires, and periodically would like to "run off" to WDW in a similar capacity... Unfortunately, in recent times WDW has been agressively outsourcing much of its IT-related departments. On the engineering front, WDW has also been "quietly" sheding jobs from the Imagineering ranks. Keep looking, but the employment landscape at WDW has changed a lot in the last couple of years.

Well, that is not good news! I will always keep looking and keep my fingers crossed though!

They have been outsourcing in Burbank, too. I don't see how the non-Disney companies will be able to work with the Disney corporate culture, but it will take many years to find out.

That seems to be what I am hearing. Very dissappointing. I guess if I really want to work for Disney I am going to have to change my focus. Maybe look for some sort of management position?
