new to the dis discussion forum...planning a trip for sept this year, have a friend who works for disney n was offered half off resort stay. does anyone know if they get half off park tickets and/or meal plan?

and might it be less expensive to get the dining plan for free when staying in a moderate resort for full price, any suggestions would help

Cast members get 20% off tickets but they have to purchase them.

Dining plan is offered to Cast Members at 50% off at select times of the year and that information would be posted on The Hub, which they would have to check. Hope that helps!

Actually, Castmembers get 10% off tickets but they must be purchased at Company D or on the phone and the Castmember must be the one to pay for them.

In a similar situation...we just started planning a trip, and a friend who works for Disney asked for our dates so he could tell us what room discounts he could get.

We're still figuring out when we can go, but what sort of discounts are we looking at? We are military, so we do have access to some of those perks, and we are still on the fence about a dining plan for two reasons: our boys are still little and don't eat a lot (they would totally eat PBJ for every meal if we let them!) and we have stayed at SoG before and really enjoyed it.
