I can't think of any reason you wouldn't be able to do that

I dont think there is any Disney location you can't pay with gift cards except for the balloons or if the machines are down.

Thought I'd follow up and let everyone know how it went. The only place we had an issue was at Earl of Sandwich. They said they take Disney gift cards, but only physical ones. No problem using it at table service restaurants, including Teppan Edo. They did need to take my phone to the back, but they were back very quickly with it. If you have concerns about letting the phone out of your sight, I wouldn't do this. But it worked great and we had no problems.
