disney dvds

I used the link that you had listed and I can't believe how how the prices are. I haven't seen a new release DVD priced at $29.00 anywhere. Maybe a box set but not a single DVD. Maybe not the best place to shop!

If you look through the titles, most of the classic disney dvds are listed at 13.90. Yes, the new releases are high but I have most of those anyway. I'm looking to buy some of the older and classic disney movies on dvd and haven't been able to find them cheaper than 13.80.

 Sorry about that. I went back and looked at the prices of the Disney DVD and the prices seem really good. Not to mention that they have some titles that I haven't seen lately.

don't forget the free shipping. But you have to sign up as a member of their site and before I look into it any further I thought I would see if any of my fellow DISers have had any experience with them. I was thinking my daughter might enjoy the 2 Witch Mountain movies and maybe the Apple Dumpling gang. She enjoys watching some of the TVland classics with me and I think she might really like these movies.

I love this site. They always seem to have the best prices except for on animated movies but I buy all my old disney live action movies there. The only thing about them is they are really slow. If you are willing to wait then they have good prices with no shipping charge and no tax. Plus this week they are having a 20% off sale. You can use code SUPERSALE and get 20% off everything but preorders.

We request them from our local library system first, watch them and see if we really want to shell out the $$$ to add them to our DVD collection before buying.

I get mine at Target for $15.99 the first week of release. Walmart also has specials on new releases.

You are so awesome! Honestly - I didn't think anyone would have anything to say about this site. You tell me your experiences and even give me a code for 20% off?! :Pinkbounc

THANK YOU THANK YOU!
I love disboards!

I like deepdiscountdvd. I've ordered from them a handful of times and never had a problem and always received my order promptly. Just fyi the coupon code expires 6/25. I usually find the prices to be the best when comparison shopping but maybe I just look at older titles. By membership there is absolutely no agreement to purchase even 1 dvd or anything like that.

Wow. Their prices are cheap. I love this Eddie Murphy movie "Boomerang" but would never buy it because it was over $30. They have it for $5.99.

Thanks. L

if you're willing to wait a bit for new releases, i swear by half.com. you can find pretty much anything on there for under $10.

I've ordered several times from them with no problems. They do the 20% off sale a few times a year, and that's definitely the time to order!

Just wanted to say thank you to all of you. I ordered from deepdiscountdvd.com today (the last day of the 20% off supersale) and saved a bundle. I got some great dvds for my daughter that I enjoyed as a kid. They will be great for our two upcoming drives to disney. And anything she doesn't like we will put on E-Bay. I payed an average of 8.40 for each dvd which will be worth it if she enjoys them and if I make a little cash on the ones she doesn't like on E-Bay, it won't be any worse than renting them.

So thanks again everybody!

FYI, this week BestBuy.com is having a Disney dvd sale for 8.99! There were some decent titles on there, if you don't already have them! :flower:

I also stocked up on some of the older live action disney movies. Hope you and your daughter enjoy yours!

Grimgrningghost - just love your name. Haunted Mansion is my favorite ride at Disney. Call me sentimental.
So what did you get? My daughter has quite a bit of the animated disney films - mostly on vhs but she has a lot on dvd as well. I went through and picked out some we don't get to see on tv but that I remember being really great as a kid. Not many Disney titles though.
Got these:
Escape to Witch Mountain
Return to Witch Mountain
Heidi
The Princess Bride
The Neverending Story
The Dark Crystal
Young Sherlock Holmes (got this one for 20% off of 5.99)
The Black Stallion
The Black Stallion Returns
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

disneyfan551 - thanks for the heads up. I think I will grab a couple of these too. It's about a 7-8 hour drive for us (one way) and since we are planning 2 trips this year, they will be great entertainment on the road.
:cool1:

We ordered the latest wave of disney live action movies released in the last few months:
In Search of the Castaways
The Barefoot Executive
The Adventures of Bullwhip Griffin
Lt. Robin Crusoe U.S.N.
The Million Dollar Duck
That Darn Cat
Summer Magic

I have great memories of watching these kind of movies that my grandparents had taped off of the wonderful world of disney over and over. I think I have to say my favorites are the North Avenue Irregulars, Darby O'Gill and the Little People and Blackbeard's Ghost.
