Aloha All,

Me & my family will be heading to Disneyland from Dec 20th - Dec 30th. Although I am so excited we are going and I do love it when the Christmas decorations are up I am alittle worried about a few things. I hope you all will have the answers to my questions:

1) How bad are the crowds during that time

2) Is either park closed on any of those days, ex= Christmas Day

3) Do they still have the Fantasmic Show during that time and will they have WOC during that time.

4) When we went last year in the beginning of December is was pretty cold (we are from Hawaii, 60 is cold for us,lol) is it colder towards the end of December.

5) I saw on a special that they have fresh candy canes being made on Mainstreet will they be there during that time.

6) What time does the park open and close during those days

Sorry I know thats alot to ask but I am kinda worried about traveling during those days but on the same hand would love to be in the most magical place during Christmas.

We went Dec 26th-Jan 2 in 2007. The parks were very crowded. All guests, including AP holders, were asked to get handstamps each day. We heard that the park closed a couple of times to new arrivals, but we did not experience this ourselves. That was the year the fireworks got canceled/fizzled out due to the crazy weather, wind and fog, so New Year's Eve probably wasn't as bad as some years, and my early-riser kids couldn't make it to midnight back then so we didn't bother staying to try to see them. The morning of Jan. 1 though was fabulous since so many stayed up late partying the night before. Everything was a walk-on for a while.

Aloha All,

No. I believe though that the parks close early on Christmas Eve. I thought I read they might close as early as 6 PM that day.

Aloha All,
3) Do they still have the Fantasmic Show during that time and will they have WOC during that time.

Yes to Fantasmic. Since WoC is new and hasn't been around for the holiday season yet, no one can say for sure, but I would guess yes. DCA usually pulled the electrical parade out for those two weeks and stayed open late for that, so I imagine they will stay open and show WoC.

We have been to Disneyland during most months of the year, and the weather is never quite what we expect. Yes, it can get chilly in December, especially at night. Also, although it is not the main rainy season yet, it can definitely rain. We have been there twice in December and experienced rain.

Aloha All,
5) I saw on a special that they have fresh candy canes being made on Mainstreet will they be there during that time.

They publicize the candy cane dates closer to the season. I was there last year during Thanksgiving week on one of the days when they made them. The line-up and waiting was more than I was willing to do for first thing in the morning in the parks when I could be riding stuff. But my family isn't that into candy canes.

Aloha All,
6) What time does the park open and close during those days

Except for Christmas Eve, Disneyland should be open 8 AM - midnight and DCA 10 AM - 9 or 10 PM at least.

As for the candy canes, I've heard that there is a limit to the amount they make. So people line up at the Candy Store 1st thing, b/c it's a first come first serve basis- once they're out, they're out for the day. Don't know how many they make each day though.

We were there last December when it was cooler and rainy. Most times we go in December the weather is perfect though. We have also been there in December when it was 90 degrees.

If I remember correctly, they make no more than 3 batches of 40 candy canes. Each person can buy 2. They only made them once a week last year.

Much Mahalo (Thank you very much) for all your helpful info. I will check out that Christmas Thread.

Thank you again, Zena:flower3:
