Well, strike a few things off my to-do list! I printed off the mousekeeping pictures for the envelopes, just have to put them together still.


I got a most excellent text message earlier today from Tinkermom76 (Natalie) letting me know Dollarama finally had the Disney window clings in stock!! I was supposed to get there before Alex's hockey tonite but that didn't happen so I'm going to try again tomorrow while I'm out getting a last minute baby shower gift for my friend who's having twins!


The most time consuming task I had though was finishing up Ariana's picture itinerary. A lot of it was new this year so it took a bit to get done but here it is!

It's a bit skewed because it's actually an Excel file which I copied and pasted into paint to save it as a picture, but you get the idea. It prints out on 11 x 17 paper and I made five copies today from work (shhh!)


It's now hanging on our fridge for the kids to see. It doesn't reveal any of the surprises I have in store, just the bare bones stuff so they can get an idea. It lets Ariana know where we're going to be on each day, the parades and fireworks that are scheduled and where we're going to eat, and it lets the rest of us see at a glance what the schedule is too.


Alrightie. So, I still have our latest movie night to share, my last park day to share and one last spreadsheet to share that I use to summarize our plans -- it'll help me get all the DISmeets organized too.


Oh yeah, and it's almost tomorrow so I'll be down to...... eight days!!!

I am feeling the crunch and chaos of getting ready for the trip too. I had a major freak out on Wednesday about how long the list was (that I hadn't even witten and how little time I ad left.) Can you believe how much the weather report has changed over the past 4 days for the times we will be there? It's starting to really annoy me!

That's the great part about the itinerary. Ariana can read, she truly doesn't need the pictures, but she's always preferred seeing things over reading them. It's fun picking the pictures too.

The weather report is changing a lot isn't it? Today, our arrival day has jumped up five degrees since yesterday. The best part is the rain part of the forecast is gone!

I had a minor setback when I couldn't find the mousekeeping printouts I'd made .... I ended up printing them out again and I've scheduled it for tomorrow to glue them all together.

Alright, let's see... I will be working the party on the 28th (I work 4:45-12:45), so you'll have to see if you can find me at Space Mountain at some point if you get time to ride.

Also, I will be at Hollywood Studios on Monday the 29th - I will be there for class from 4-6. After that, I can stay and hang out if you'll still be there and want to meet up for a bit!

Ok, so here's a quick wrap up of our park days.

This last day is also our departure day. For the first time, we snagged a late flight home so we're not getting up at the butt crack of dawn to come home. Our flight is at 7:45pm giving us a great last day to do whatever we want. And that's exactly what I've planned.

I did book one last breakfast. I chose it at a resort so it doesn't tie us to a park and also gets us to over there to see more decorations.

So now on our last day, we get to leisurely pack and head over to the Wilderness Lodge for 10:15am to check out their Christmas decorations and have a nice breakfast. I haven't scheduled a park on this day. I've left it open and we'll decide while we're there, if not the morning of, where we'll go. This way if there was something we didn't do that we really want to, we can. Or if we got everything done.... we can choose our favorite and head over. Planned flexibility!


Two Worlds... One Family


Last week's movie night was Ariana's choice. Her pick?

I love this movie and I love the soundtrack even more. Our family has always had a favorite line.... Jane is rambling to her father about her encounter with the jungle creatures and the "wild man" when she suddenly turns to him and says, "....and Daddy, they took my boot!" while pointing down to her elevated foot. It sounds weird to try and describe why we get such a kick out of that line but we do. For years we've been randomly saying it to one another and even Demetri would say it without having seen the movie!


With the movie done, it was time to take yet another link segment down. While Alex setup the chair to stand on, Ariana decided to carry Demetri over.

Demetri freed up the link and took it down....

.... and Ariana took the lime green Mickey head down.

Gotta say up until today I wasn't happy with the forecasted weather. Now it looks fabulous!

- Kathryn picked up from train station
- Christmas movie
- last loads of laundry, put away or packed


With a DIS update every day to boot!


I'm happy to report I got all of today's things done! I'm really impressed with the root touch up system.
