its crunch time ! We are sailing Monday. I have a few last minute questions. What time will we be able to get to our luggage and rooms ? Our arrival time is 10:45. Not sure if that makes a difference, I know to bring a small bag with things we might need until we get to our luggage. But I am planning on getting lunch and hitting the aquaduck. So should I our swimsuits in the carry along bag? Do I need towels for Castaway Cay?

Luggage will turn up between 1.30 pm and 6 pm.

Staterooms are available around 1:30. Luggage is delivered throughout the afternoon. It could be late afternoon before you get your bags so pack anything you need that first day in your carryon. Wear your swimsuits under your clothes so you don't have to worry about changing. Towels are provided at CC.

Mickey is usually in the lobby area for photos - the photographers are with him (at least they were when we last cruised)Have a great trip

Yes. And for shore trips involving getting wet as well.

You can have a embarkation picture taken but it is not a character shot.

There are teak bins all around the pool areas filled with clean towels. There are also several towel return bins around the pool areas.

I personally like to have a full sized pool/beach towel so I usually buy a dated DCL one for my souvenir on the first night to use throughout the cruise but you certainly can use the towels provided onboard.

Just wanted to point out that the shops will not be open when you first board the ship -- they'll open that evening after you have set sail.

Our DDs always wear their bathing suits under a t-shirt & shorts. Saves a lot of time.

I would arrive at the port around 10:30. When you check in you will get a white card with a number on it. This is the boarding number with which you can board the ship. They will start with 1 then 2 then 3 etc. It goes quickly and you will be on board before noon. In the port while waiting you can take a picture with Captain Mickey and then as you get on board you can have your picture taken again. This picture will have the date of the cruise and the ship name printed on it.

Our kids wear their suits on to the ship.

If you are allocated a later arrival PAT and arrive early they will give them a higher boarding card then someone arriving at the same time with the correct time PAT. If embarkation is delayed and the terminal is full, they nay be denied entry into the cruise terminal until it's cleared/ or their PAT time.

If they understand that and come early then fine, they understand the piddocks risks.

Understand but there is a chance of the 10.30 > 10.45 all arriving, all delayed, say arriving with platinum and concierge, but in theory the risk is low, but possible.
