Just trying to make a plan for our embarkation day and when I cruise I like to avoid the buffet that first day! Thank in advance!

Animators unless you're concierge, in which case you can go to Royal Palace. The lunch was very mediocre and service was slooowwww. The ice cream sundae at the end was the one highlight. We were trying to avoid the crowds at Cabanas but seeing as we had an early boarding group, I wish we had just gone there instead.

If the menus online are accurate, nothing on there blew me away.

This was our experience in January as well. I love the beef empanadas but service was very slow-actually had to get head waiter involved because we sat for over 20 minutes waiting for main dish to come out after our appetizer. And then was lukewarm. Would have preferred to just deal with Cabanas crowd

Well it seems as though DCL lunch on embarkation is not nearly as nice as the others I've done. I guess we can always see how bad Cabanas is and go from there! Thanks everyone for your thoughts!!

Same on our Spring Break cruise last week. It was the worst meal we had all cruise. And the line to get in was bananas—we were able to get a table but a few parties back in the line they told them they were at capacity and there would be a wait.

My family agrees, Animator embarkation lunch was nothing to write home about.
