I'm new to cruising and am about to book the Disney Dream for 2nd October 2011. We are happy to have a category 11 inside cabin, but the problem is there are three to choose from 11a, 11b or 11c and I don't know which would be best.
Can anyone give me the pros and cons to help me with my choice please?

Thankyou :goodvibes

IF you go online and show the room categories with pricing it will give you a rundown of the room description. The differences are, different levels or floors and size of the room might be slightly bigger. These are the main differences in pricing for that category. IT all depends on what floor you want to be on but to me they are all the same since I am on such a wonderful ship!

Have a WONDERful cruise!

Thankyou both very much for your advice. After all that we ended booking a category 9 deluxe ocean view :goodvibes It was only an extra $234 so we thought we'd go for it. We chose state room '7054' which is a corner room, I'm just hoping we've made a good choice.

afaik, aren't all cat 11s the same sq ft?
They don't get larger until you go to deluxe inside (equiv to Magic/Wonder's cat 10)
To be honest, I've never looked that closely at the 11s; we love the split bath too much. I thought the price variation with A, B, C had to do with how high up the deck is.

It's nice to have a window. We love to have natural light and watch the ocean, day or night. :lovestruc

AFAIK yes all 11s etc are the same.I had called DCL and asked about how to translate the old cabins to the new system, a while ago. What they told me was that there are 5 letters A-E and they correspond to the position on the ship. The ship is broken up into 5 zones, and A is the center block, B is the next block foward, C is the next 1 aft I think, and D and E are the fartherst foward and aft.If not its A center B and C foward and D and E aft.I know that the A was midship.

I don't know about the other categories but for category 11 the letters correspond to what deck it is on. A is on decks 8,9 and 10, B is on decks 5,6 and 7 and C is on deck 2. (At least that's how it is for the Dream)

alexandra uk, we are booked on that cruise too! We are doing a b2b so we are on the 3 day following that one also. We have a meet thread started if you want to join. :thumbsup2

b2b = back-to-back cruise, where you get off the ship only to get right on again for the next sailing. YAY!

We chose an 11B as I liked being on the 5th floor on the Wonder..... we took the steps alot so it was only a few floors up or down to get to things. On the dream we chose floor 7, hoping it will also be convenient.
