Disney Dream- September 25th 4-Night Bahamian Cruise!

Monica~ There's a list of everyone who wants to join on page 2 of this thread. I think we're planning a cut-off date to join the FE on August 1st. Once that happens I'll divide the groups into more manageable sizes so everyone is able to participate without being overwhelmed. We'll also plan a little meet and greet on the ship so we can get to know each other better.

I've never participated in an FE before, but from what I've gathered you hang your FE extender outside your door, and throughout the cruise you'll get little treats, tokens, or gifts from the people in your group. Some people do individual gifts for the kids and one item for the adults once during the trip. Others give a little something each day. It's totally up to you, and you can use your imagination for the gifts. There's a lot of threads about what others have done, but some ideas are to make a homemade gift that represent where you're from. Sometimes people put together a small package of items you might need on a cruise like sunblock, chapstick, a candybar, etc. Others make magnets, little photo frames or a personalized water bottles to hand out. Check out some of the threads on these boards for other ideas. They are endless.

Mimi...You're an awesome teacher! I wish I was in your class
:goodvibes.

If you guys are okay with this, we are planning to give to everyone that is participating in the FE, not just a small group of people. And were okay with not everyone giving to us. It's just a personal choice.

Count us out, we decided to switch to a 7 night Magic instead. Hope everyone has a great cruise!

I am not sure if this question has come up... Is anyone going to do Palo or Remy?
we might try for Palo. ( not interested in Remy )

My friend was just on the Dream and said the boat is beautiful!! :)

Mishelle and Joanne under the Goofy Bunch, would also like to be in the fe.
But we are in a seperate cabin. Cat 9B 2026

Almost at the 6 month mark! I don't want to wish time away either, but I am so ready for this cruise!!

Does anyone know if there is no main dish on the menu at your sit down dinner that you find appealing do they have something not on the menu that they can make for you?

We have decided that since we are flying in the day before (have not booked flights yet) we are going to stay at the Hyatt right there in the airport. Then we will catch the Disney Cruise Line Bus to the port on the day of the cruise.

Does anyone know what time the Cruise Line Buses start leaving for the port? We want to get a good boarding position so we can get on the ship as early as possible. Since we are staying right there in the airport we can be there at the buses as early as needed. From what I've heard your boarding position is reserved when you check in for the bus. Is that true?

You can always ask for something else - something from another dining room or to have something made. If they can, they will usually accommodate your request. Remember too, you don't have to eat in the dining room. Room service is also an option. It always amazes me how much they try to please. There is usually steak and baked or broiled chicken any night in any venue, but I also know who wanted Mexican night on a cruise that never had Mexican night. Sure enough the next night, they had their own Mexican night. My husband thinks apple sauce is a green vegetable and has it with every meal, so on the Disney ship, even though they weren't serving apple sauce at all, they made him apple sauce. On every line we've sailed, ordering as many entrees as desired or trying a little of however many has been fine.

I read in another post that the buses started from the airport at 9:00, but I don't know for sure. As to everything being taken care of when you check in there... I don't think you get your boarding group reserved there. Unless they've changed this since September last year, I believe you get it when you get to the port.

If only time could go faster. Just got home from Jamaica and we are so excited to do our first vacation with our boys! DS1 saw the recent Dream TV ad recently and shouted "I'm going on the Mickey Mouse Boat, too, Buzz Light!":cool1:

And they say "they won't remember it anyway, so why spend so much money?" He may not fully remember it, but he sure will enjoy the heck out of it live!

Roll on, September!

OH YES! .......Can you say; would you get me a nice 10-12 oz. N Y strip steak cooked the way you love it..........sure you can, if I knew how to post the picture, I would show it to you from last Sept 2010 WONDER cruise. :thumbsup2........PS....SORRY......the picture was from our 2009 W-cruise on the MAGIC.

:yay:CHECK POST #27 for the FE list. If your name is not on the list, and you would like it to be added just let me know. Also, if you want me to add any details such as cabin number, ages of kids, etc. I'll try and update it as I get the new information.

I've never participated in an FE before, so this is all new territory for me, but I'm trying to compile a list for everyone to go back and look at. It would be great if it could be transferred to the first page for all to see. I'm not sure if there's a way to do that or not. Perhaps some of you veterans have some insights and tips to help make this the best cruise ever :woohoo:!!

just catching up....

Why not move the FE list to the first page?? You can just edit your post on that page and wallah! is done :goodvibes

Welcome to all of the new people joining the fe exchange. We have been real busy around the house and work lately. The pictures of the Dream look pretty sweet. I just hope by Sept., the workers have their acts together. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

what is the problem with the workers?
