Disney Dream ~ September 15, 2011

We told our granddaughter we are taking her on a Disney cruise next June - in 2012 on the Fantasy. She is very excited. This will be a birthday present for her. Her birthday is in June. We will be sailing just a couple days after her birthday. Got to get her a cake on board and have everyone sing Happy Birthday to her!!!! DW has got a nice singing voice.............me............I sound like finger nails on a chalk board!!!! But if several of the staff sing to her hopefully it will drown me out!!!

Very cool! You can take me, too, since my birthday is June 12th! J/K, of course! That's a wonderful gift. So sweet of you!

Next May I have to come up with something special (and Disney-fied, of course) for my DH's 40th birthday. I'm thinking an Easter Caribbean cruise so we can go to St. Maarten and he can finally see those airplanes take-off & land right by the beach. He's such a huuuuge aviation buff. I know seeing that would totally make his 40th birthday for him.

it will be our granddaughters 13th birthday. Yeah, I know the terrible teens!!! But she is such a sweet girl, we love her so much. I guess it is because we helped raise her when she was a baby. She is our special girl!!!

That is where we are going on the Fantasy.......an Eastern Caribbean cruise to St. Maarten. We've been there before on the Magic back in 2007 with her. So this will be a whole lot of fun. I know your DH would love an Eastern Caribbean cruise!!!

I hope everyone had a GREAT week-end. Now it's back to the ol' weekly grind for most. I'm still semi-retired.................oh and did I say I'M LOVING IT!!!!!

We're making a list and checking it twice................this is begining to sound like Christmas.................our cruise clothes list that is. What we need to buy, our must haves and what we would like to take along with us. DW and I really are pretty well set on most of our clothes. DW wants to get some new cruise casual clothes and I need some odds and ends - socks, belts, things like that. But DW made a good point yesterday. The summer clothes are out now - if we wait until mid to late summer stores will have fall and winter clothes out on the racks. So we buy NOW!!! (As ya'll can tell DW is the smart one of the family...........she has the brains and I have the good looks!!!)

Another mom & son duo!! This will be the first trip I'm doing alone with my youngest son. It's his birthday gift, a Mommy and Me trip. He'll turn 8 this summer.

March went by in the blink of an eye it seems, looking back, and already April seems to be flying too. Before we know it, we'll all be packing our bags and heading to Port Canaveral!!!

We always feel the need to go shopping for new clothes when we go on vacation. And then we buy t-shirts and sweatshirts as souvenirs. It's like there's a connection between vacation and clothes shopping.

I'm really excited I have been researching the cruise in my spare time and what to do in disney world. My sister has never been to disney world or the bahamas. I have no idea what I am going to do with myself in the next 5 months (besides do OT to help pay for the cruise) Any suggestions?

Does anyone have any additional vacation plans for the summer. I live in Philadelphia looking for ideas.

My best friend and I took my son on our first Disney cruise when he was 6. We had a blast! You'll find you'll have to fight for her attention with the great kids activities! LOL

As for the next 5 months...I'm hoping this group keeps me going. I did visit the local Disney store yesterday to get some magic!

to all of the new cruisers joining us on this cruise. This is going to one GREAT time on board the new Disney Dream.

We are nearing the 5 month mark everyone. Before we know it, it will be time to start booking our ressies and excursions. DW and I already know what we want to do................just have to wait for the time we can book. I know you shouldn't wish your life away...................but I sure wish September would get here a little faster!!!
