My parents are traveling with us in Sept. They had a guarantee for a cat 9A outside. We just found out there room number is 6004 which does not have a window. Does anyone have infon on this room. Is it a really considered a 9A room? Is there anyway to get their room changed?

Were you looking at the stateroom reports? 6004 for the DREAM is not reported. 6004 on the Wonder & Magic is a Cat 11 inside stateroom.

6004 on the Dream is a Cat 9.

according to Disney's website it should have a window and is considered Oceanview. Is it possible you looked up 6004 on the Wonder, because it does not have a window on that ship?

That room is actually larger than a normal Cat 9 I believe, and might be configured differently. I'll see if I can find a post about those 9A's.

I looked on the Dream deck plans and it's an ocean view forward facing cabin. I think these are the "attic" rooms....loving called that because of the slanted ceiling, but it is an ocean view. :thumbsup2

I know some of the 'unusual' rooms in the front of the ship don't have a split bath or may not have a privacy curtain separating the couch from the bed, but for a solo or a couple I think these rooms may be charming. Some of the photos I saw (and am still trying to locate) looked more like a room in a B&B than on a cruise ship!

Here's an example of what we mean...THIS IS 6004!

My parents stayed in this room on our march dream cruise. They loved this room, they thought it was spacious, perfect for 2 people. It is an "attic room" but it had great light. Hope this helps.

Did it have a split bath?

My sister cruised in this room, and on the Dream it DOES have a window, and also a split bath. It doesn't have the privacy divider curtain, but it does have much more floor space than most rooms.

We have room 6004 on our cruise on December 11th and it is category 9A. Thanks so much for posting this photo. It's just me and DH so there will be plenty of room. I would have preferred a view on the port (left) side of the ship so we could see Nassau and Castaway Cay when we back in, but this will do nicely.

Thanks for posting this...I'm in 8502 next year on the Fantasy which is this room, 2 decks up on the other side of the ship...it's really useful to see a photo and the room looks really spacious and light, I'm really pleased!

Regarding the photo in post #8 of this thread, Room 6004, can anyone advise if there is a pull down upper berth bed in that room or in the opposite room, 6502?

It is some of the 8A staterooms that are missing split baths. Not the category 9 staterooms.

That's good to know, but I wasn't sure if due to the slanted outside wall if they had the pull down ceiling beds or not. That's what I was most interested in.
