Hola Everyone, leaving on a 3 Day Disney Cruise in a few weeks from Orlando. Hoping to get a few questions answered.

*Our check in says 11am. Does that mean do not come any earlier?
*Whats the earliest they will let us board?
*On Debarkation day, what time do they kick you off the ship normally? Do we have time to get breakfast before getting off? I know on Carnival and Royal we werent really given time to get breakfast.
*Travelling with an 8year old Birthday Boy and a Teenage Daughter. Any secret must do events you recommend that's not part of the typical things advertised on the site? They will definitely be enjoying the Kid and Teen clubs, was just wondering if there are any cool must do's that we might pass over on the navigator.
*Our group are picky eaters and the menu seems a tad out of our taste range, But we are all Steak eaters. Do they have any daily steak options or only whats on the menu?

The steaks are very poor. They use to have good steaks but not anymore. The daily option steaks is worse. You will have a assigned time with your servers for breakfast on debarkation day. But go to cabanas you get to grab what you want and how much. .

Thanks for the quick reply :) whats the earliest they normally allow you on board on embarkation day?

The 11:00 you selected is your PAT, or Port Arrival Time. The terminal doesn't open until 10:30 so I wouldn't recommend coming much earlier than your PAT. Boarding usually begins between 11:15 and 11:30. When you get to board depends on the boarding group you are assigned when you get to the port. With an 11:00am PAT, you should be in one of the earlier boarding groups. Usually by 12:30, they've moved to open boarding which means anyone can board because the numbers they are calling to board have caught up to the numbers being assigned to people as they arrive.

You have to be off the ship by 9:00am and out of your stateroom by 8:00am. If you want breakfast in the MDR, that time is assigned based on your dinner seating, usually 6:45am for early seating and 8:00 for second seating. Cabanas is also open that morning.

There is always a steak on the "lighter fare" section of the menu, which are things prepared more simple than the rest of the menu. You can always ask for sauces to be left off or on the side, or ask for substitutions of sides if you'd prefer something else.

If you have a port arrival time of 11 am, that is your time to arrive. Boarding starts about 11:30 or so with concierge and platinum folks followed by boarding groups- you will be assigned a number when you check in.

There are not any"secret" events. Just check the navigator for all the fun stuff to do.

Last day you have the option of sit down breakfast or limited buffet breakfast at Cabanas beginning around 6:30am. I believe they want you out of your cabin no later than 8 am so they can get ready for the next cruise. You can't linger too long.

Steak is offered every night in the main dining room.

Enjoy your cruise!

I think the best kept secret is eating at Cabana's on debarkation day. Skip the dining room for sure.

Also, for the picky eating, my husband and I (and other adults in our party as well) have ordered off the kids menu instead many nights in the dining room and this is never a problem. The steak is very bland. :(

One night on our first Disney trip one of our table mates got chicken fingers

Another thing if you don't like a specific menu in a specific restaurant is that the servers can actually get you items off of the menus of the other main dining rooms as well. So if you like the Animator's menu and are eating in Enchanted Garden, you can still ask for something off the Animator's menu for that night. We've actually had the servers themselves offer this up when we weren't fans of the current restaurant's menu.

There are some items that are available every night, whether they are on the menu or not. Two items from the kids menu that are always available are chicken fingers and mac and cheese. I believe pasta with tomato sauce is another.

One thing my daughter requests every night is a simple garden salad with romaine lettuce, carrots, red onion, and ranch dressing. We tell the server the first night that she will want it every night and they often have it on the table already when we sit down.

Don't be afraid to ask for something simpler than what's in the menu. Adjustments can be made, or there are other items that can be made available.

This only works for the first 3 nights (usually) when the MDRs have their unique menu (and if you're going to do it, it would be nice to give your service team a heads up the night before (you can see the menus on the app) so they can make earlier arrangements since the service is not all out of one location). The remaining nights all the MDRs have the same menu so things from the unique ones won't be being prepared.
