Hi everybody!

Just booked the cruise this morning.
We just got off the transatlantic 2 weeks ago but cruise withdrawal set in immediately.

We will have 2 veranda rooms (no room numbers yet). It will be me (Lisa 47), DH 45, DM 86, DD 28, DS 19, DD 16. This will be our 10th Disney cruise but my mothers first cruise ever. She just got her first passport. I sure hope she will like it.

I have an awesome custom fish extender on the way from Etsy, but I have one last question about FE that I couldn't find in the FE info threads... How many trinkets/treasures do I bring on board? Is it best to count the participants in this thread or should I just bring extras? I want my first Disney cruise and FE experience to be a stone-groove hit, so not taking any chances!

For those of you who have done FE's before, do people typically add their names/cabin to the FE list at the last minute?

I ask because I am ordering some items, and I'm wondering if I should order extra? I know the deadline is the 27th, but I can't wait that long for a couple items I'm wanting to do.

So far I understand that a bag of some sort will be hanging on the fish hook at the state room doors. Is there a bag for each person in the cabin or 1 general for the family? Does the family name get labeled?
The gifts are small items purchased/made before for everyone on the list and the gift are placed in the FE throughout the cruise?
Guess I need the book Fish Extender for Dummies. LOL.
Does sound like fun, just need to understand more.

I'm new to FE too, but I am following the list the nejjie has compiled and is updating (on page 1 of this thread). We *could* bring extras, but without the information people provide when they sign up, there would be no way to know which cabins to take the gifts to.

Personally, I'm putting all my gifts in one bag for each cabin & marking the bag with the cabin number. That way, once on board, I don't have to look at my list or keep track of which ones have already been delivered.

Hi Carla -
This is my first time for FE too, but I thik I can help you out a little. I'm sure more experienced cruisers will chime in as well.

It looks to me like your name is not on the official FE list for our Nov. 3 cruise. You'll need to provide some more information (cabin number, # of people, ages of kids, etc.) for that. You can look at page 1 of this thread to see the list nejjie has been compiling. I see your name on the list under "Unsure if participating", although maybe you updated your info. later and I missed it. If so, sorry!

As far as the bag goes, I think anything goes! Some people have a hanger with a pocket for each member, others just use one single bag. As I mentioned in a previous post, I plan to have gifts for everyone in the cabin packaged in a single bag, so I won't be using the various pockets even if that cabin has them. For our bag, I think I plan on just hanging a single canvas bag on our hook. I might jazz it up a little with some fabric and ribbon if I time.....we'll see!

Do people usually take the FE's in the room for the night or do they hang out the whole trip?

Also we are a DVC member family, so I'm hoping for the magnet to be on the door like last time.

This is what we did on the Panama cruise and we didn't have any problems.

I'm so looking forward to getting away from work and enjoying this vacation!

Same here I want the trip to get her right now but then I am also sad because I don't want it to end. I really like the feeling of having something to look forward to. Hopefully I can book a 2013 cruise on-board so I can keep the magical anticipation going

nejjie - I see you are from Philly. Only about 30-40minutes away. We are flying out of Allentown for the first time. Usually leave out of Philly. Thanks for updating my info.
