Going on the Disney Dream and leaving out May 4th.....will be me, my 5 year old (she turns 6 on the ship), sister and her 8 year old. We are both in our 30s.....................can anyone tell me how the dinner/dress works? We trying to figure out how many dress up nights, semi dressy and so on. We will more than likely always eat in the dining rooms. TY in advance!

I'm thinking night 1 is casual, 2 is dress up, 3 is pirate night, dress up like a pirate if you want and the last one is casual as well. Someone can correct me if I am wrong.

Just got off the Dream on Jan 17.
Night 1: casual
Night 2 (Nassau): optional dress up
Night 3 (CC): Pirate
Night 4 (sea day): casual

I dont think I remember people dressing up much on the 3 and 4 night cruises. Sometimes we get a little more dressed up if we want to take a family photo or two.

Great thank you so much! This is my first Disney cruise (been on 3 others) but is there anything else I need to know???
There was not a lot of "optional dress-up" at the first dining room seating, about 20%+/-, and they were primarily "Sunday best" attire. Did not see tux or gowns/cocktail dresses. There could have been more at the second seating. Of course plenty of BBB princesses. The photogs were at the backdrops for formal photos. Lots of pirates for pirate night. A gift idea for your 5/6 yo would be glow sticks/bracelets. Get the ones at the $1 store.

Some little princesses wear their dress-up gowns to dinner every night. Others, not so much. You'll see a little bit of every attire on a Disney cruise.

I bet the fact that the affiliated company that delivered tuxes to the ships went belly up means the percentage in fancy dress will drop quite a bit.

When we did our first cruise when my oldest was 3.5 we joked that we need only have packed her princess dresses and swimsuits since that's what she ended up wearing most of the time.
