Disney Dream May 1, 2011

Hi everyone :) We will also be sailing on the May 1st Dream cruise, we can't wait. We have a 3 year old son and an infant daughter who will be almost 11 months in May. We are also sailing with my parents and my husband's parents.

My husband and I have sailed a few times on the Wonder but this is our first family vacation since having kids. We are excited to have the Disney experience with little ones for the first time. We're also glad to have Grandparents with us for babysitting so we can spend some time in the night clubs :cool2:

Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Welcome! Welcome!!

I got our excursions booked today! Woo hoo! I have a question, though. For those who were able to book Palo several weeks ago, were there any reservations available for the high tea? I had heard that it was one of the least popular optional dining experiences so I thought we would have a chance to grab it. However, it says that no reservations are available. I'm not sure if that means it's fully booked or that it's not available on the 4 night Dream sailings. If they are going to have it, I'd like to try and book it once I'm on the ship, but if it's not offered, I don't want to waste my time trying. Any thoughts?

We booked our excursion last night too and I noticed that high tea wasn't offered. I wasn't able to reach TA yet for an answer on whether it is offered on 4 night. High tea would be nice though.

Has anyone heard about the CC cabains???? Im trying to book one but I was told to wait into we get on the ship??? any help people??

Hello fellow Texan! (we are north of Dallas) Welcome to the group!! My daughter will be turning 7 right before the cruise and my son will be 10. I'm glad our group has several children close in age. It's going to be so fun!

I called Disney about the gty rooms to when they be assigned and I was told that they start 38-14 days before the cruise just wanted to pass the info to anyone that has a GTY room like me =)

So what excursions does everyone have planned?
At Nassau, my DBF and I will be doing the Dolphin Deep Water Swim & Aquaventure at Atlantis... and on Castaway Cay we have the 'Getaway Pkg' booked, which included Bicycle Rental, Float Rental and Snorkle gear.

Can't wait!!

Hi there. I will be travelling with my mom and two sons, ages 15 and 11. We are super excited to be cruising for the first time and to be a part of the Disney Dream. My mom and I took the kids to WDW in 2005 but thought with the boys being a bit older, a cruise would be a nice change. Anyone else travelling with kids around the same age?

Welcome guelphgirl!!!! You are going to love cruising, especially with DCL. It only takes one time to be hooked. My sons are only 9 & 7 so they are anxiously awaiting the Oceaneers Lab. I am sure you boys will have a blast in that new tween zone. Happy planning....only 61 days til sail-away:cool1::banana::woohoo:

We have nothing planned for Nassau...just gonna wing that one. My parents are doing the glass bottom boat tour at Castaway Cay, and I'm doing parasailing there. I've never been parasailing and have always wanted to do it. I almost went in Cancun a couple of years ago, but didn't want to walk back to my room to get my credit card. lol This way, I've got it booked and planned and no reason not to! Plus, I cannot wait to see the view from up there!
