Disney Dream March 20, 2011 Happy Spring Break!

Hi, I'm not on the cruise, but I have a free FE I would be willing to mail to someone. It is well made from gradysmommy on ebay.

It is pink with two mouseheads on it. They are both girl mouseheads. I used it on a cruise with me and my sister.

Message me if you could use it.

I sent you a PM. Thanks.

Hi everyone. Remember to EMAIL me at mcdgsmith@frontiernet.net if you want your cabin included in the FE!
So far there are only 5 cabins participating and one maybe!

I am doing the cut off on the 20th so nobody feels rushed!!!

I am OFFICIALLY ready for vacation to get here!

Hello! We're looking forward to our very first cruise! Our family includes: me, DH and twin DS, age 12. They were born extremely prematurely and as a result, one of our sons has cerebral palsy and will be using his walker/wheelchair to get around. Of course, this makes us easy to spot in a crowd!

We've booked an accessible deluxe family stateroom w/ verandah and we're really curious to see what that actually looks like. We're hoping the boys will be interested in the Clubs but so far they're thinking they'd rather spend time with us. I suspect once they get onboard, that will change.

Being first timers, we're a bit nervous about all the logistics, and also about addressing our son's needs...so if you see us looking like the confused newbies we are, trying to push a wheelchair through a crowd of happy cruisers eager to get somewhere, please be patient!

My family and I have been on other cruise lines, but this will be our first Disney cruise. I think I'm more excited than the rest of them! My DH and our DS (10) and DD (7) will be joining the rest of you for this spring break cruise. Can anyone tell me if there is a formal or dressy night on the 4 night cruise? I don't see anything about that in the planning center on Disney's website. Just want to be prepared!

9 weeks to go! Can't wait to see the Dream!

Hi all!
Ok, first of all I hope I am not stepping on GatorandNoles toes by doing this, but I haven't seen you on here in awhile and thought this should be finalized.
If anyone is interested in participating in the Fish Extender please send me an EMAIL---not a PM. (easier for me to organize this way) Please put Disney Dream FE as the subject.

Information needed-please supply as much as possible....
(the ONLY reason I am requesting ages, names AND gender is because some people like to make home made items and some like to get specific to ages and gender--some even include names)

Cabin Number-Deck Number
Adult Names
Child Names,Ages,Genders

Remember EMAIL me the above information.....
My name is Caryn, here is my email:

I will put together a list As soon as possible and plan on CLOSING sign up on January 20. That will give people plenty of time to put stuff together (I hated feeling rushed on the last one I did), it also gives time to get it done so you can mail the stuff to the boat if needed in the week before. If more people join after that, another group can be started by someone else.
Thanks everyone!!

Caryn,
Thank you for organizing the FE exchange! I need all the help I can get.

If anyone has any suggestions for a meet and greet when we board the ship PM or post. Time and locations that would work for you.
Thanks,
Anoush (Go Gators)

I pulled this from the DCL site:
On 4-night cruises:
• First night: cruise casual—no shorts, swimwear or tank tops
• One pirate or tropical night (deck party)
• One "dress-up night"—jacket for men, dress or pantsuit for women
• Final night: cruise casual—no shorts, swimwear or tank tops
Dress for dinner at Palo on all cruises:
• Men: dress shirt or jacket, no shorts
• Women: dress or pantsuit

The four night cruise is not as formal as the seven day cruise. The seven day cruises have a formal night and a semi-formal night. When we dined at Palo we dressed up which was the dress up night for us anyway.

OK folks!
I sent out one last round of PM's to people from a list that GatorandNole had compiled.

Reminder if you have not done so already, and are interested in participating in the FE, the cut off date is in 3 days, Jan. 20!

Email me your information if you want to participate.

This will be our (DH and I) 1st time cruising DCL and so looking forward to being on the DREAM. We would be interested in a meet and greet if one is planned.... count us in!:goodvibes

For anyone interested I found the Menu's for the Dream!

I tried to post the direct links, but couldn't get it to work, so...
go to www. disneycruiser .info

There are menus for all but Remy.

For cruisers with kids, something I did on our first cruise that was fun was I purchased plain white pillow cases and using computer iron on transfers, put a disney design on them. When we boarded, I dropped them off at guest services and they had the characters sign them and deliver them to our room on the last night. One word of warning, even thought they use sharpie markers, they will still come off on your kids face at night! lol :rotfl:

Hi everyone,

We are doing the B2B on 3/20 and 3/24 as well. It will be me, DH, DD8 and DD3. It sounds like there are going to be a whole group of kids who are right around the same age.

Can't wait to see the Dream!

DCL has now added another feature to its online check in (apparently based on the crowds at the terminal with the larger Dream). I went online and signed up for the earliest port arrival time of 10:30 - 11:00 since we are driving over from WDW.

45 days until we cruise!!!!!

Can't wait for the cruise..... hard to believe that in less than 45 days we will be on the DREAM! 1st time cruising on DCL and looking forward to it......:yay:

I will have to check this out....Is it in the regular online check in section?

Hello fellow shipmates,
I wanted to see if there are any other families that would like to be part of a FE exchange? There is already one started but it is closed to additional participants so if you are more a last minuter like me, let me know if you would like to participate and we will get a list going. Even if you are part of one already and want to join ours, by all means let me know...the more the merrier. We had a great time with this last year and my daughter and her friend have had fun getting things for this years exchange. If you don't know what an FE exchange is or want more details let me know.

PLease PM me or email me at captainscapegirl@comcast.net

See you all real soon!!! :dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3:

The check in screen is slightly different than previous cruises, but you'll find it easy enough.

We are doing a B2B with my parents and I was having difficulty logging into their second portion. I spoke with DCL and they said that you can get in line whenever you arrive, whether it is earlier or later than your sign up time, but this is just to help Disney know when most people are arriving. If you are doing a B2B then you will be escorted off the ship briefly (30 minutes?) for customs, but then allowed back on.

Hello - this sounds great...except when I access our account, it indicates that this feature is locked. I wonder why? Could it be: arriving from out of country (although we'll already be in the US) or more likely, is it something that they open up for repeat cruisers?

I read another thread by someone who is a first timer who was feeling really blue about nothing being available by the time it was finally their turn to make reservations for Palo, excursions etc. I must admit I feel a bit the same way...but people have reassured me that there will be openings available once we board. The problem for us is that one of our sons uses a wheelchair and walker...and by the time we board with all this stuff, plus learning the ship and fighting the crowds, I have a bad feeling there'll be nothing left.

Sorry to be such a downer...it's just we really want to enjoy this vacation!

Thanks I checked it out.

Twinmum,
The locks will disappear after you update the other stuff. You need checkmarks in all the other boxes. I had everything filled out but it unchecked a couple things and I just re did it.

This is my third cruise and all the palo brunches were gone when I went to book, on the day it was open for me.

Go right to the nightclub for dining changes when you get onboard, hopefully there will still be openings.(no real fighting off crowds, at least on the magic there wasn't) Only one of you need to go there as well.

Just stating the obvious, but I can not wait for this cruise to get here. The new ship will be great and all that, but all I want to do is look out on the ocean from our balcony and try to spot a mermaid while sipping a beer. Don't get me wrong I love all the little touches Disney throws into their ships (and I sure the Dream will be no exception) but I just want sit back, relax and let someone else drive the boat for a while.

Late for the party as usual. This cruise shows up as booked by all the sites I've checked. Our family of 5 would love to go with you all. Does anyone know a.) Somewhere to book this or b.) know anyone wishing to transfer a reservation? Signed: Desparate Dad
