Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

Sorry he didn't do better but he does have the right (Scout) attitude. Let him know he is a winner in the eyes of the Dis board.
Rachel you look beautiful it must have been a wonderful night.
We will be staying at Saratoga the night before but just plan to do DTD and the resort on Sat. Still holding my breath on my FIL passport we haven't heard anything.
FE gifts in the works my plan worked well I came up with the idea and now DH is working to bring it to be. I love it when a plan works.
I have had a box started and now checking fit of summer clothes hopefully we won't need much.

Happy Monday everyone! Another weekend closer to our Double Dippin :goodvibes

Scout - Sorry you're son didn't do better but glad he's got a good attitude about it. I personally think the car looked fantastic!

Tammy - Rachel looked so lovely in that dress. It sounds like she had a good time.

Well, I didn't get out to shop for my FE gifts. Prototypes went well so hopefully the actuals will as well. I'm not really crafty either but found a couple of ideas that seem to be non-crafty doable, hehe.

All this talk of boxes reminds me I need to buckle down and get ours started. Have my new swimsuits in there. Plus the bottle carriers for packing rum to bring back ;) Now I just need add the stuff we actually NEED!. Once I figure out what that is... I've only cruised once and this will be the first for DH & DD so I'm a total newbie in regards to figuring out what we need. I feel so behind and under prepared that I'm waiting for the cruise nightmares to start!:scared1:

Tammy, Rachel looks beautiful. Gorgeous dress! I love seeing prom pics. The dresses are so fun these days. And the boys in tuxes look so handsome. Tuxes are fun these days, too. Glad she had a good time. Emily's prom isn't until May 21--her 18th birthday! :scared1:

It's so funny to read that other people are starting to have "the nightmares" too. I never really worry about starting to plan until I start having them. The first one was of us missing the boat, the second was us arriving for the cruise in the wrong week and they wouldn't let us on the boat. I have since revved up the planning and started on the FE gifts. :rotfl:

I'm with your daughter. How did you keep it a secret for so long? Even though this cruise is a celebration of my daughter's graduation, I had to tell her right away. One reason is that I wanted her to help me plan everything, and the other reason is that I'm always on the DisBoards on the computer right in front of her! She would have figured it out anyway.

I wish I could have kept this cruise a secret from DD, but we were talking about 16th birthday plans right after our last cruise in 2009! She knows about the cruise, MK day, character dining plans, etc.

So I have GOT to think of a little something to surprise her with while on the cruise. I plan to do some birthday shopping at DTD and am going to order the in-room birthday celebration package where the room will be decorated when we arrive. I know she'll be surprised by that, but gotta come up with something else.

I am taking suggestions!!!!!! (hint-hint) :rolleyes1

 Hi everyone!

Just checking in and trying to catch up where I left off.
Life just seems to get in the way of Disney sometimes:rolleyes:

But I'm still here and getting more excited!:yay:
I've only made one magnet so far so I gotta get moving!

Happy Monday:goodvibes

While I have the designs all ready, I haven't printed any of my magnets yet! I gotta get moving too!!!

Thanks Paige! Hope Emily has a great time at her Prom next month!

Since this cruise is a graduation celebration, I am going to surprise my DD with the Bon Voyage celebration package so that the room will be decorated when we arrive. I would have liked the one that said "Congratulations", but DCL has discontinued that one. It will still be a surprise to her to have the room already decorated.

Tammy, thanks for sharing Rachel's picture. The whole group sure looked great! I am glad they had a good time:)

Tammy and Kristi, be sure to mention your celebrations to your head server. Sometimes they can arrange a cake or specially designed dessert.

For all of those staying at the Radisson Saturday night, do we want to set a time to meet somewhere in the pool area?

Also, have we set a time and place for sure to have a Dis meet when we get onboard?

Finally, Admiral Donald's and Sorcerer Mickey's check your email as I will be sending out updated lists with some deletions and some corrections.

Oh ,yeah,....
Is it June yet?!!!!:beach::beach:

Ready to Double Dip!

We're also planning on hitting MK on June 10th! We usually head back to the resort for a post-lunch rest before returning to the park, but since we just have the one day at MK we might skip it this time...so we'll try to make it to at 1 pm to meet up with everyone, too. Hoping for nice weather and low crowds that day to make full use of the 9 am-2 am window to get my MK fix. :)

Hi PirateMom,
Great! If you can hold on until 1pm in the park we will be looking for you!

Reminder for all: Mini meet at Aloha Isle MK 1pm on Friday June 10th
Dole whips for everyone!

Tammy, Rachel's photos are beautiful:thumbsup2
Glad she had a good time:goodvibes

The group shots are really nice too!

He had a good time but unfortunately the judges must not have been DCL fans. ;) He did not place in his Bear division but he had a good attitude about it. It was a good experience for him and he had a good time so that is what really matters. Plus now that the judging is over the car can go up on display in his room with his past cars. He did win 2 heats for the raingutter regatta before getting beat so he had some success. Maybe he can return next year and do even better.

I need to figure out what to do for FE's. I have a couple of ideas but people should be warned I am not very crafty. I am afraid my attempts at crafty would be pretty atrocious looking so I figure I need to go with something fairly idiot proof. :rotfl:

The vacation nightmares started for me this past weekend and I am starting to feel that need to start shopping for the trip. It really won't be too long now. I usually start a "box" of stuff going in my bedroom about this time and start throwing things in as I remember them or buy them. Less than 7 weeks to go for us....

Sorry your son didn't win Rebecca. But it is always still fun.

I am not having any vacation nightmares but real ones that are coming up that need lots of money:headache:
I keep saying to myself ( and does my BF) that we should cancel this trip and use that money for needed stuff.
But I just can't bring myself to do it, I've been looking forward to this for too long.
Even if I rack up some more debt with a few things....... I'll hope for more overtime at work this year to cover it:rolleyes1;)

Wow! Really? On her birthday? How cool!:thumbsup2

Yeah, me too. I've got all the designs (that I got off of these boards of course;)), but just need to do a bit of editing and printing:)

Ready to Double Dip!

Thanks, Beth. I'll be sure to mention something to our head server about it. I know that on our prior cruise, my husband mentioned that it was our anniversary and they brought us a little cake with a piece of white/milk chocalate that had a picture of the ship and said "Happy Anniversary".

For the Radisson meet, I believe we said after dinner, but I guess that depends on when everyone eats dinner. What about 7 or 8pm? Is that too early (or too late)? I'm pretty flexible. We can make our dinner plans around whatever time everyone decides on.

As far as the Dis meet goes, I believe all we have ever discussed is just before the Muster Drill, which I believe is at 3:45pm. So everyone chime in so we can decide on a specific time.

IT'S ONLY 54 DAYS AWAY NOW!!! IT WILL BE HERE BEFORE WE KNOW IT!!:yay:

Rose, I hope everything works out and that you don't have to cancel the cruise.pixiedust:pixiedust:

O No, I absolutely won't!

:eek:Nooo!

Rose I understand your dilemma. Speaking of unexpected, Chris (DS18) came over the other night with a horrible noise coming from his car wheels  I made an appt. at the garage. Long story short, next day and $1,500 later  I'm feeling pretty pinched :headache:

I'm too excited about the cruise to dwell on it - I think the planning is keeping me sane!

I think 7-8 p.m for a Radisson pool meet Saturday will work out fine with us :thumbsup2

For the Radisson meet, can we say 7:00 at the pool? With a 5-year-old, pushing it until 8:00 may be asking for trouble since I probably wouldn't be able to drag her OUT of the pool until 10. ;) If anyone is arriving later though and 7:00 is too early please speak up and I can take my chances. :thumbsup2

Rose, I hope things work out for you and the trip. Tammy, the photos of Rachel and her friends are awesome. I'm so glad she had a good time.

Would it work to have the Dis meet at 3:00? That would give folks time to eat, settle in? I have a feeling my kids will already be at the pools by 3 anyway :goodvibes It's even more convenient now to go to the drill since we won't have to get lifejackets out of our rooms! :)

Tammy - LOVE the prom pics of Rachel and her friends! She looks beautiful and it looks like everyone was having a great time. :)

Paige - what a birthday Emily will have! That's really cool. :goodvibes

54 days out and I have already started on magnets and FE gifts! :yay::woohoo: I'm a bad procrastinator so this is big for me. Now I just need to order the FE! :rotfl:
