Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

Welcome!
Who is all in your family and where are you from?
Is this your first Disney Cruise or have you cruised before?

I'm Rose, from NY, traveling with my son Sean who will be almost 21 and
BF Bob.

We are a family of 4, my brother, my parents and myself :) we are from Brazil, but we live in South Florida :D

It's going to be our 6th cruise, but we might cruise again before this one :D

It's very nice to meet you! :)

Watched Alice in Wonderland tonight with fam, weird movie but no surprise with the team of Burton and Depp.

My husband and I just watched that Movie on the 4th. I had VERY low expectations for this movie, so I was pleasantly surprised by it. It was still weird to me, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

This will be my 5 Disney cruise.
Lucky you to perhaps sail again before the Dream.

Hey Scouter (and others)
It seems from reading the posts there will be alot of teens and young adults going. I'm sure they can get together and have a good time. I am looking forward to meeting everyone as well.
We live in San Antonio so we have been getting alot of rain as well. It's ok though because it keeps the temperatures down. last summer I think we broke a record of the number of days over 100 in a row. It hasn't been nearly as hot this summer.
Oh, and we saw Alice as well. I liked it and I usually don't like Tim Burton.

It wasn't as good as Toy Story though:3dglasses

Hi there! I haven't posted very much as yet, but I wanted to say we may have one in our party from San Antonio. My daughter's boyfriend (provided they are still together--haha) and his family just moved to San Antonio and he attending Texas Lutheran University in the Fall. We've only visited San Antonio once (back in 2002) but from what I remember, it is a beautfiul city.:thumbsup2

BTW, we're from Louisiana, live in Virginia, and hope to move to Florida next year. I'm Paige, my husband is Rob, and our kids are Emily (18 on the cruise), Derek (15 on the cruise), and Alex (11 on the cruise). Emily's boyfriend is Ryan and he will be 19 when we cruise.:goodvibes

Hey everyone!!! Sorry we have been so quiet on this meet thread lately!! Sounds like everyone is doing well! Have a question about stateroom assignments. Quite a few of us are in GTY status. We have booked one cruise in the past on GTY and found out our stateroom about a month out from the cruise. I am sorta expecting the same thing for our cruise next June, however, the lowest category that is available is a 6B, so all the inside and porthole rooms are gone!?!?! Do you think this will lead to an earlier notification of our stateroom so they can maybe open up some of the lower levels? Just wanted to know everyone's thoughts on this!

Almost at the 11 month point!!! :)

We saw Toy Story 3 today!! My husband and I took our son, and my brother-in-laws niece and nephew to see it. We all really enjoyed it. It was a bit sad for me...LOL watching Andy grow up...that movie came out the year my son was born. I miss when he was my "little man".

Still keeping the cruise a secret... :upsidedow Don't know how I'll wait till next year to tell ds about it.

I just called and changed our July 19th sailing to join y'all on the June 12th sailing!! We are headed to WDW a week from tomorrow, and I just feel that we have spent the entire summer waiting for this vacation. So, I decided last night that we need to bump up the cruise!! :woohoo:

This will be our third Disney Cruise...we have sailed on the Magic 3/08, Wonder 3/09, and are so excited about this cruise!! It will be me, DH, DS 13, DD9, and Dbaby???? who will be 6 months at the time of sailing. We will be in stateroom #10612.

We just got off the Baltic cruise and booked this cruise yesterday :cheer2:Looks like a Fun group already:cool1:This will be our 10th Dis cruise and the Dream looks Great :cheer2:Please add us to all the lists :surfweb:Gene and Cheryl in room 7560:dance3:

In case anyone else is looking to move up or down, Category 08C GTY is open. I just switched my reservation this morning from a Category 05A to 08C and saved $700 :woohoo:
Category 05A was the lowest category cabin available when I booked a month ago so :wizard: pixie dust to me :goodvibes

Welcome to the cruise :cheer2: Our group just keeps growing and growing!! That is great :grouphug:

Tomorrow I'll be calling to make the reservations for our stay two nights before the cruise!!!:thumbsup2:cool1: I'm so excited! We're just going to get a studio standard view at BLT so that we can save our points. We'll be driving the whole day on the first night, and the second day we plan on visiting the in-laws...so we really won't be in the room too much.

Just making the reservations makes the cruise seem real...LOL

Happy weekend everyone! I'm hitting the trails again. A buddy is driving up from Atlanta tomorrow and Sunday we are going up to hike the 41 miles of the AT that runs through Maryland!

I've got a cat5 something or other.... and I could really stand to save some money. I'm barely scraping by for this vacation.
But, I'm not giving up my balcony this time. I NEED it! I'll just eat PB and J
for dinner for a year to pay for it:rotfl:
