Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

I can't wait to see that and all the other cool stuff. 5 days won't be enough. Guess I will just need to skip sleeping. :rotfl2:

So here is a question to try to find out more about each other: What's your favorite family activity onboard?.

My girls and I loved tracking down the characters and pin trading! but as a family I'd have to say eating together! :woohoo: lol we love good food!! and the cruise was a great way to try out different foods that we normally don't encounter or dh and I aren't willing to shell out the cash for! :rolleyes1 My oldest got to have escargot and lamb and well ate himself silly, my middle boy ate fish and tried stuff he never would have tried at home and the girls were happy to taste parts of our meals!
On this cruise I see quite of bit of family Aqua Duck time in our plans! lol everyone is really looking forward to riding the Duck!!

Wondering if this means no chance of getting an upgrade??

I just called DCL, and as she said "I don't think so"...

We really, really, really can't complain... but it would have been nice.

I mean the last time we got an stateroom upgrade was in 2007....:rolleyes1

We're paid in full too!:cool1::thumbsup2

Congratulations, Rose! Now all we have to do is wait for March 14th so that we can make any reservations that we may want. My daughter & I are not going to go to Palo or Remy, but I will probably reserve my excursion for Nassau (Ardastra Gardens). And maybe something at the Spa, but not sure yet.

Yeah for all those paid in full! When I checked the mail today, I had a package. It was the FE that I ordered. It looks great and now I am even more excited about our FE! So..... We are currently at 15 families participating and would love to have more! Don't forget to pm me your information so that I can get you signed up!
Is it June yet?:beach:

Well, with all this "paid off" talk, I think I will have to join in!:cool1:

I have a question for y'all. Does anyone know if I will be able to leave a car parked at our WDW resort during the cruise? We are driving down to WDW in 2 (maybe 3 cars), but we only want to take 1 to the port.

All of this paid off talk has me feeling like a slacker, LOL.

We decided against trying for Palo and are still unsure about excursion so I'm not too concerned about being paid off by the 14th. But we will definately be paid off by the 29th :thumbsup2

Added transportation to our cruise a few minutes ago. Will probably order our FE in a little bit - can't decide if I want to go pirates, sailors or just Mickey heads on it. Such tough choices there, LOL.

Starting to get really excited about the cruise.

We need to decide on our excursion for Nassau. We have never been. I wanted to just stay on the ship, but DH wants to get off the ship and do something. I would love to hear suggestions of excursions that kids would enjoy. I don't think we want to do the water park because we go to local waterparks. We thought about the tour with the aquarium or the gardens.

We paid in full a couple weeks ago.

Busy Saturday. We have gymnastics for Ethan. Then I'm taking the kids to see Alice in Wonderland ballet. It is the local ballet company with some of the girls from Sydney's dance team. Ethan has to go because Kevin is taking pictures for a wedding reception. Then off to the appliance store. The refrigerator is going bad. The noise the compressor is making is horrible. It was going to cost almost as much to fix as to get a new one.

Yes, I'll be up at midnight waiting to book Palo for our brunch.
We're not doing any excursions though, but Bob and I will get a couples massage:lovestruc:cloud9:

Getting so close now!

I wish it was June! Or even April or May.....
because it's snowing again here today:eek:
And to think that yesterday was sunny and 53˚

While I don't have any personal experience with this, I have heard that most of the resorts don't have a problem with you leaving the car there as long as you A. Tell them and B. Park in a further away spot (not next to a building like at CBR where you can almost park at your door depending on where your room is at in the building). I know parking at the Contemporary is a premium since it is such a small parking lot. I would call ahead to the resort and double check though because things are always changing. You might even get two different answers if you get 2 different CM's...make sure you write down who you talked to and when so there won't be problems at check in.

As an alternative, though it would require an extra step on the way to the port, would be to drop them off either at the remote parking lots/off site lots at the airport...it'll be much cheaper there per day than at the port.

Hi Rose. I was just watching The Weather Channel and saw that the NE is getting or going to be getting a lot more snow and will be really cold again. Hope you stay warm!!! Here in the South, we've been sunny and in the 70s during the day and the 50s at night. I'm really loving it, because I don't like being cold. Hope your area starts getting some Spring weather soon!!

Yeah, 3-6 inches overnight:sad2:
I wouldn't mind if I was not working tomorrow....
normally I'd have the holiday off but when the boss asked if I wanted
to work it and I knew I still have alot of stuff for this trip to pay off
I said yes! But now that I'll have to get up earlier to shovel, I wish I
was staying home:headache:

Rose,
Where in NY do you live? We are going to New York on a band trip next month and some have said it may/may not snow. We are doing most of the New York City sites. The kids are playing at Carnagie Hall. We all are very much looking forward to the trip. I have never been to New York!

It has been much warmer here. We just got back from spending the weekend in the hill country at my brother's house. Absolutely beautiful day! Hopefully, spring will come soon for those up north. I know you guys are ready for it!!!

Have a good week folks!!

Another paid off group, been there for some time!

I just got back from a 26 mile hike on the Appalachian Trail. My family is going to do a 110 mile section after the cruise. My oldest asked if we did it that way to work off what we eat onboard! :rotfl:

If you see a family of four climbing the stairs for no apparent reason, it is us! We will be training!

About 4 hours away from NYC. Around Syracuse NY (Liverpool). Upstate.

Have a great time in NYC! Lots of cool stuff to see and do and eat!:goodvibes

They usually don't get as much snow as we do. But this year they really got slammed at times we didn't get as much.
We all thought it was about time we shared:rotfl:

No not really, at least not me. I'm 5'8" at one time I was as heavy as 253, I am currently 218. The "experts" say I should be 154 :confused3! I love backpacking and it is a great motivator to lose the weight. The less on my belly, the easier it is to climb dem mountains! My wife and kids humor me and are gentle with me! :rotfl:
