I think we also need to have a cutoff date, do not know if one was mentioned yet or not but with the holidays and such.. I want to have all of mine done in the beginning of December? Misty what do you think?

Deb

Guess my link did not work.. but you can find it in the 1st entry for the June 7, 2011 Alaska cruise on the Wonder.

Just added my family to the FE list;may husband and I and our DS (21) and DD (10) . We are very excited about this cruise-it's our second Disney voyage.
Is there a meet scheduled too?

Start looking for your cruise documents to arrive around Saturday/Monday. I'm also on the cruise before this one and I received my docs for that one yesterday. Not sure how the Thanksgiving holiday will factor into when they get mailed out, but it should be very soon now!

Got may documents today by Fedex. I got my magical express tags yesterday. We are staying at POR before our cruise.

We have a quiet bunch here...maybe we should get to know each other better?

I am a SAHM with two kids , Hannah is 11 and Nicholas is 14. We have sailed before but only on the Magic so we are excited to see the Dream. Hoping 5 days is not to short. But it was the only time to go when the kids are not in school. They are still on Christmas break when we go.

Wasn't going to do to much Christmas decorating because didn't want to come home to it. But it is all up.

I am from Canada as you can see but we have no snow where I am yet. Heck it is actually spring weather today but tomorrow could be winter weather with cold winds. But I got my snow tires on yesterday so bring it on if you have too.

Should be packing some stuff in suitcases soon if I can find them in the storage closet. All the empty Christmas stuff boxes are throwning in there in the front. Quick clean up after I put the tree up.

Easy to pack this time of year since we are not wearing shorts right now.

So how did everyones Thanksgiving go yesterday? Did anyone go shopping on Black Friday?

Hi, NAB, I'm from the southern US so we don't know much about snow tires. :rotfl2: But, last year we had 10 inches of snow that stayed on the ground for a whole week! Totally wonderful, we don't get snow very often.

I'll be looking for the Fed Ex guy...it will make the trip seem more real. We've been twice before on the Wonder and I think the Magic, too--not sure!

We just put our tree up--we have an artificial tree. We'll take everything down on New Year's Day, and travel the next day to Florida so no worries about coming home to Christmas work to do.

My DD is 7, she adores shopping, so we did go out for Black Friday shopping but we didn't leave home until after breakfast. All the big crowds were gone when we got to our favorite stores.

We also have a 15 yo son, and a 19 yo son. The 19 yo may stay home, since he's too old for the teen group anymore and he will not have a friend to run around with.

Nice to meet you!

If you're in the US the docs will probably get delivered by US Mail. I'm guessing NAB got them Fedex'd because she is in Canada. DCL used to do UPS 3-day select in the US but seems to have ditched that.

I would gladly give you any snow we get. :lmao: I told my hubby when he reitres I would love to be a snowbird and head to Florida. I love snow when I can stay in and see it all white and clean and fluffy. But terrible to drive in and then gets dirty looking. Plus we live in a subdivision and we run out of room to pile it after awhile.

I usually take the tree down New Years day too but we fly into Orlando Dec 31st. So not sure if I will have time between visiting family and packing to take everything down.

Hannah loves to shop too. We don't have Black Friday but they are having sales on to keep us spending our dollars on this side of the border. We had to hit Build a Bear this monrinig and got the last Gingerbread Boy for $5.00 that they had advertised. Actually had three in my hands and was going to give them to the angel tree but ended up giving them to others that came. One lady told me to sell them outside the story. :sad2: I'm sure we will spend a lot of time in the shops on the boat.

I was hoping they would list the dress code for the days. I know there isn't a formal day , hubby thinks there is a semi formal optional one night. Hoping maybe to leave the suits home this time.

For the semi-formal dinner, my DH didn't take a suit...I think maybe he just had a blazer and wore his khakis.

Our snow last year was fun. The roads cleared after the first day. We don't have road-clearing equipment, so we have to wait for it to melt. But the snow stayed in our yard for a week! Totally never happens here. It was wonderful.

3CStuart, thanks for the update on the mailings. I remember getting a have-to-sign for package before, but that was a few years ago. Our last cruise was 2 years ago, and I don't remember how they got here that time.

Just saw a commercial--the final Wizards of Waverly Place will be while we are on board--"Who will be the Family Wizard?" Any chance it will be shown on the TV there in our cabins? Or--and this would be too, too cool--any chance the stars of the show would be there on board to watch it on the big screen by the pools? (I can dream. I love these shows as much as my kids do!):happytv:

Hannah watches this too. Rerun after rerun. I don't know how many times she watches the Family channel shows. If she is watching any tv it is that.

We got our first snow today. Just flurries after we had really heavy rain all day yesterday that left huge puddles everywhere and flooding. The snow is not sticking thank goodness. Still have a lot of Christmas running to do yet.

I will need this vacation after all the Christmas stuff, concerts, baking , shopping, decorating. Not to mention the everyday stuff that has to be done too.

Hi, we are from Canada as well. We will be staying POR for 3 days before the cruise and six days after. There will be five of us travelling(husband,daughter16,son15,and my mother. This is our first time to Disneyworld and our first cruise ever. We are very excited.

Welcome Happy Feet!!! Where are you from in Canada?

Hi, Happy Feet--we will have our 15 yo son with us as well! Your teens will LOVE the teen programs. My boys were always so busy that we didn't see them much at all. The loved the cruises we've been on. Disney is great for the kids!

We have a 7 yo DD who thinks the kids' places were invented JUST FOR HER. :rotfl:

Welcome Happy Feet ! I was wondering were in Canada you were from too.

My 11 year old wishes she could be in the smaller kids clubs. The Dream's looks cool. But she is looking forward to the Edge too. My son will be in the Vibe as well. Probably won't see him much at all either.

Less then a month now....I'm stressing over getting everything done for Christmas so I think it will go fast.

Hi, we are from Saskatchewan. I can't seem to stay off of these meesage boards. They are very addicting. We usually go to Mexico for our winter holiday. So, this is new to me. We have been to Disneyland a few times but never to Disneyworld. I think I planned our trip out to the T. I hope my husband doesn't get to upset with my schedule. lol

Yes the boards are very addicting , just look at my post count....

You will be happy to get out of the cold I'm sure. We have been having it cold then warm. Today was 10C with rain. It is crazy because tomorrow it could be below and then back up. Just happy to have no snow yet but I know it is coming.....

Welcome, My DH Michael and son Malcolm (17) just came back from a skating competition in Regina this AM.

The rest of the crew are DD Montana 15 a few days age and myself Cindy, from Ottawa, ON.

:scared:Anyone else freaking out a little bit? So much to do so little time!!! Having Christmas with my family (parents and siblings) here next weekend, so I really need to be getting my house ready, but all I really want to do is work on FE gifts:rolleyes1

And then there are my two completly opposite daughters...DD15 has already started packing, but DD13 (who has been apprehensive from the start) is getting more and more worried (think Titanic).

OK...back to cleaning...:laundy:
