I talked to DCL this morning and if you are a Platinum member and are unable to snag a Palo's reservation either before the cruise or once you get on the ship you will receive a $15 on board credit per platinum person in your stateroom!

So at least I will have $30 to spend in the store on inaugural merchandise if I can't get to Palo's!

so if you had to guess, will common first-timers like me be more than likely shut out from Palo's? I am assuming so, but thought I would ask a more seasoned veteran.

As soon as you get on board, go to the sign up's in the main nightclub(I don't know the name of it on The Dream), that is where last minute reservations happen if they open up. Then, immediately call Palo's on a wall phone(you won't be able to get in your room for a while...then give them your SR# and ask to be first on the waiting list...then, as soon as Palo's opens...walk up there in person and ask as well.

As you can tell...I don't mind hounding them. Good LucK! :thumbsup2

you wont even miss it!

Our first trip we did not go!
Since you have regular dining rooms to experience, that is another reason i am not a lot worried about not getting in there!

It is all good.

It is all new to all of us.... :cloud9:

Ditto on all of that!

Not only am I waiting for 11pm central to try and book Remy or Palo, but the Rangers are playing their series deciding game tonight! I better pony up for the large coffee tomorrow morning at Mickey Ds! :rotfl2:

I spoke to a Cast member today and was told that Palo is completely booked for online reses. He did not think they were holding any reses for Gold or others because 'there are some very important people on this cruise and we have to take care of them first'. I was very disappointed by the response (perhaps it could have been worded in a different way...end result is the same though and I'm sure it is a true statement). I'm going to try anyway tonight (I'm gold) but I'm not optimistic even onboard. At least we have 3 'new' restaurants to experience.

Hi everyone!! Haven't posted for a looong time. I do read up every once in a while. Been adjusting to all 3 kids being gone at college. The youngest went in the fall. It's kind of hard for me. My DH works long hours too, so it's me and the dog most of the time! My DD has decided to study in London next semester, so I've been busy reading up on that too. She is flying out the day we get back from this cruise--bad timing. I'm hoping to catch her in the airport.

Not booking anything tonight. Just plan on eating in the regular restaurants and lounging by the pool.

They must have a lot of "important" people cruising since I don't think they opened up the suites for booking for this cruise.

Thanks for sharing! I do hope the name of that CM, for his sake, isn't revealed. Those remarks, are definitely not up to Disney's standards. Every guest is very important. Hey... maybe those "important" people will be there for us! LOL! :rotfl2:

Good Luck to Everyone at Midnight. I keep trying too. Keep your dreams alive, and... Go For It!

Let us know how you make out!

Hi everyone, we are so exited to finally be paid in full for this and our December cruise. Thanks for posting your findings on the status of Palo. I'm still going to try tonight but glad to know not to be surprised if I'm not successful. Everyone have a great night!

Hey Everyone

Well I finally paid the cruise all off! Hope I can keep it from the DW and DD until Christmas morning!

Good luck to everyone booking resos tonight

Hi Judy....I know what it is like to have all the kiddies off to College...we went through the same thing.....and....our youngest DD Allie did two semesters in London so any help I can give I will certainly try. She did January to April both in 2008 and 2010 through AIU (American Intercontinental University). She was a Fashion major and found the experience to be wonderful. We went over to visit her twice and really enjoyed London. DD went the first time knowing absolutely no one and assimilated really quickly. She stayed in the Camden area the first time and the Kensington area the second time.

Here are some pics of London and the countryside from our visit with DD this past March....we spent 3 nights in London and then travelled all over England....be prepared....DD visited many countries/cities when she was over there as flights within Europe were very cheap. She went to Wales, Ireland, Amsterdam, Paris, Germany, Scotland, Switzerland (skydiving over the alps)...she had an awesome time!

DD is the one in the green scarf and long dark hair....I am in the green jacket.....hubby is in the brown jacket.

If you don't have Skype...download it....it was wonderful to be able to talk to her and see her in real time everyday!!!

Part one was a success!! My Rangers won!! Now, I have to wait another 48 minutes to try for Remy or Palo... (where's a ticking clock smilie when you need one?)

Good luck tonight, fellow Golds!

:thumbsup2Way to go Rangers! I was keeping an eye on my iPhone and saw they won! Go for Gold tonight!:dance3::dance3::dance3:

7 more minutes...I sure hope I don't fall asleep....especially since I am soooooo tired right now....

I'm sorry but this is so unfair that unless you were a platimum member that you cannot get a Palo brunch reservation. I got in at 12:01 and it informed me that there were no reservations available....DCL should do a better job and release a certain number of reservations to each Platimum, Gold, Silver and first time cruisers. I will certainly be letting DCL know how displeased I am.

Well, I am bummed that I was not able to get Remy or Palo brunch but I was able to snag a Palo dinner. There were more slots available than I was expecting. Hope everyone got what they wanted.

At least that's what Disney told me tonight! I'm holding out hope of a brunch cancellation for Palo - but if not, there's still lots new to see and experience! Hopefully others had better luck tonight!
