I am always jealous of those who make all the magnets-tried one time and messed up and gave up-

Try to reuse the ones I have but may have to try this time for something with the Dream

Believe me, if I can do it, you can. Do give up.

Anyone else plan on running the Castaway Cay 5K? DH and I are runners (well, I'm a runner, and DH tags along)... not speedy at all, but I love it! :stitch: Have not yet completed a half, but keep on trying.... (IT band! yuck!). did the ToT13K in it's last running.

Anyway... anyone who may be running it, what do you think of making our own tech shirts?:laundy:

We (my son and I) will probably do 5k! Have you tried the foam roller for your IT band issues? It was a big help when I trained for my first half.

Hi! I foam roll and stretch and stretch about 5 days a week. It is helping, but whenever I get up around 20 miles a week, with an 8 mile long run, I start having problems. I'm hoping to do my first half in March. I haven't given up yet!

has anyone made door magnets yet-I might attempt to this time
I am going to be doing some magnets for the MV. This will be my first time doing it so any tips would be helpful!

I too have been MIA for a while! I have a kidney issue called Medullary Sponge Kidney which means I produce or have hundreds of kidney stones in me! Ouch, not fun. However, I am back now and getting up to date on things!

Looking forward to the MV! Just wish things could come faster!!!
Have a Disney Day to all!

Ouch! That isn't fun at all. I hope you are feeling better. :goodvibes

As always, THANKS KERMIT!!!

You're welcome! :goodvibes

You can do it!!!!! :cool1::cool1:

Sounds like you are dedicated to running each week. I did a run/walk training program through my local Fleet Feet store in preparation for my half and they were amazing. Without them I wouldn't have been able to do the race. And for me, the run/walk method was the way to go. I don't have the discipline/ability to run 13 miles. :thumbsup2

We're almost there!! :dance3:

(and I keep reminding myself that paying for the cruise is why I'm in working on a beautiful Saturday!) :rotfl:

Thanks, KermitRocks. Encouragement is always welcome :rotfl:
Maybe we will meet at the CC5K! I plan to wear my ToT13K race shirt.

Morning everyone ... seems like I haven't been here for yonks.

Had a great weekend as it was my birthday.. 21 again :rolleyes1 Had a friend down from Yorkshire (4 hour drive) as we share a birthday. Her husband and my boyfriend managed to get through a fair few beers between themselves while Tina and I tried our hardest to get through our cocktails! We did quite well and no headaches at all, so very pleased. :thumbsup2

I'm off on the Magic in 4 weeks time, Dover to Barcelona. Can't wait but haven't even thought about what to pack yet so need to get going with this. Have done some magnets for our 2 cabins but I just know we'll want more done so will have to do those too.

Are we having a standard DIS design for the MV? One that we can all have among the many others we'll be doing? I am no good at all with designing but it may be really nice to all have one that's the same? :) Should we ask Milliepie perhaps? She's moving house right now but she's back in August so I could ask her then. Would anyone like anything specific on it or shall we just let the creative juices of the Dis'igners flow?

Take care everyone and enjoy the sunshine if you have any.

I am horrible at designing so I think this would be a great idea. :goodvibes

Good Morning Cruisers!

Thanks for not being too chatty while we were on vacation! I thought it would take forever to catch up after a month off - but not bad. The Baltic cruise was great - for those who are headed that way, you will love it. It was rather cool, I do not think we were above the mid 60's the whole trip.

We did this once, but they started rather late and it was really hot - might be better in Jan. I am a walker, Scott is a runner. Tech shirts would be fun! We tried to get something together once on another cruise but were not very successful, mostly due to lack of time on the part of those of us involved.

Now that the Baltic is done, we can start planning this one - we did book another cruise on board, the Magic New Years Eve cruise, but that is a 5 night, so won't require much planning, not like the Baltic or Alaska.

Have a great day all!

Bats, sounds like a great birthday celebration! Love your idea of a DIS Dream Maiden voyage specific design. Are you going to ask Milliepie about it?

Blessings - Lin

There was some mention of this on the Facebook group a while back... I'm at work, but I'll try to remember to check at home tonight to see who brought it up...

Maybe a picture of Minnie breaking the champagne bottle against the hull???

Back from the Baltic. The Building the Dream Tour was incredible. Will try to get a couple of pictures posted and give a small report.

The ship is HUGE......did I say the ship is HUGE? Well, it is. Spent 3 1/2 hours on the ship with Captain Tom.

Yes, fish extenders, but they are going to be fish, sea shells and one other one I can't think of right now. I'll have to ask my daughter Jamie...wait..I think it is a sea horse.

Okay, back to work, back soon, I promise!
