Disney Dream Inaugural Cruise 1/26/2011!

Hi -- found this on the main DIS board:

Hi, I just got my DVC Disney Files magazine today that had an article about the Dream's Remy restaurant. I know there was speculation as to how many it would seat. Here is what the article said:

...The softly lit main dining room with seating for 80 will reflect an Art Nouveau style with a palette of soft greens, deep reds and rich gold. Visual details are planned to include graceful, sinuous lines on chair backs, etched in glass and in wall treatment, and a Nouveau-style floral and leaf design in the carpet and banquettes, with the famous Remy character subtly and artfull integrated into the design.

A private Chef's Table dining room, furnished with rich Ratatouille-inspired decor, will seat 16 and offer a glimpse into the kitchen. A glassed walled wine room also seats as many as 16 amid more than 900 bottles of wine, including a fine rare selection of Old World wines balanced with a sold selection of New World wines.

Here's hoping I can get a ressie!!!!!

Would love to have one at the front, but really, would be happy in the engine room!

The weekend is nearly here .. anyone got anything special planned? We have football (soccer) on Saturday (we work there on match days so we get to watch the game for free), then we have a wedding reception in the evening. Sunday is getting the cases down from the loft ready for our trip to WDW on Wednesday.

I have a question. Those of you that have been on the Wonder lately, is the garage at the port completed yet? Haven't heard anything about it and since we will be driving and on the Wonder in three weeks, I was just wondering.

small world....we fly out of Buffalo on Sunday for our 14 days of free dining at WDW....have fun celebrating your birthday at WDW....I did that in March and it was a blast!!!!!!

Thanks for posting - it looks lovely. I have no hopes of getting ressies, with so many platinum cruisers, I am thinking all will be gone by the time I set down at midnight to make my ressies, but I can Dream

For past cruises I've had a type of plan of when to make ressies - its nice to have dinner with the table the first night, nice to do Pirate night at the table, sort out the cruise excursions and times etc. This cruise, I'm thinking - first available table - I can see it now......Fast Pass to Aqua Duck 5:15 pm....Show up at Remmey's 5:30 pm..... OK, that won't work....

Welcome to all the new people joining us! The DCL family keeps growing and its WONDERful, DREAMy and MAGICal!

So while I am sitting here recovering from surgery and just being told my cancer had returned, I want to buy a FE. Does anyone know where to get a really nice one WITH our names embroidered on it?

Can't wait to celebrate with everyone on the MV of the Dream. We will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary, my 13 years working for Disney and my partners birthday. We were going to be celebrating my remission from cancer but I guess we had enough to celebrate!

Can't wait to finally meet everyone very soon.

Adam, I'm so sorry to hear about your cancer. Hang tough! You beat it once, you can beat it again! I also got my fish extender on e-bay from Gradysmommy. It is beautiful and she has all kinds of designs to choose from. Good luck!

No...Linda (seaulater) is making them as another thing to remember the cruise...and I think to freak out the CM's onboard....I can just see Linda and ScottH saying to the CM..."but my fastpass lets me by pass the line!"

Okay...off to see Mickey today....can't wait...14 glorious days of "free" dining!!!!!

I don't think that it has been officially announced but word has it that he will be on. I would be shocked if he wasn't.
