Disney Dream Inaugural Cruise 1/26/2011!

Good afternoon fellow Inaugural Dream cruisers!!!! Have not visited in awhile but had some time to drop by.....we finally booked our flights and our pre nights at WDW (Wilderness Lodge). Got airfare for $178 pp round trip on Continental. Was very happy with that.

And....for any of you that happen to be doing the cruise right after this one as we are....I just got a call from my TA this weekend that the cruise price for the January 30th Dream cruise has gone in price. Don't know if it is for all categories but we are in a Cat 9A and the price went down almost $350.00 for our reservation.

So, anyone thinking of booking this as a back to back check it out and for anyone already booked as a back to back and have not heard anything about a price reduction call your TA or DCL and inquire. Can't hurt!!!

I know we are confusing as we are 2 different families who just happen to know each other through the kids school.
Alirob is Ali, Rob and 2 teenages we are in cabin 7088
Jayne, Calum and Fraser ( Jayne is the Mum and the boys are 13 and 15 years old) she is yet to register with Disboards - I have been explaining it to her.
We are all from Auckland and this is Ali and Robs Joannas and Marks 2nd cruise on a Disney Ship (so we are silver Castaway members) but Jaynes and the boys first one I will find out her cabin number I know she is on deck 7 as well as us but on the opposite side forward. We are all at 2nd dinner seating.

Hello everyone-

Back from our Baltic cruise and from Taiwan. Got the boys all settled into school last week. We had a glitch with our Alaska cruise-wanted our TA to call Disney and inquire about an August sailing as opposed to our 7/12 since we found out a couple of Aug sailings were alot cheaper. We couldn't get the cabins we wanted on the Aug sailing so had told our TA just to keep Jul 12 and swap out one of our outside for an inside across from the other outside. I was on hold and my TA had informed me that the DCL rep on the phone and done a transfer to Aug instead of a price inquiry and that I had lost the July sailing. So, we had to deal with that on the weekend. She had to get a supervisor on the line the next day-in the end I still got my original pricing from when I booked on board, got the 2 cabins (had lost the original adjoining cabins, but did get an inside and outside right across from each other to save a little money) lost main seating for dining and are priority waitlisted-not too worried about that I can probably get that changed once aboard.

So, now I can concentrate on this cruise!!! I can't believe the 120 day mark is fast approaching. I plan to pay in full by then Sept 28th-right around the corner.

What else have i missed. I see there is an FE roster now. So we would like to be included:

So we need to make sure we pack an extra bag, do we?!!!! We often put a large duffle bag inside our suitcase, then coming home, we can put soft stuff like dirty clothes in the duffle, and have the hardsided case for all the fun stuff!

Back from my med adventure on the Magic - it was awesome! Did FEs for the first time -- it was loads of fun.
Getting really excited about this cruise -- it seems more and more real as the payment date draws closer!!!!!
Our amazing server from the Magic -- Igor -- is moving to the Dream -- we will be asking to be at this table!!!

Have my flights booked, my hotel the night before booked....sheesh....I think that makes me sound organized

My plan is to bring a carrier bag of spare clothes and leave my suitcase empty of goodies!!!

Have paid some more off the balance tonight .. only just over $1000 to go .. yikes! May have to ask our TA if she can look out for an inside cabin when the pay date comes round, maybe do a swap to save money. We have a Cat 9a booked (No room number yet), but maybe someone in an inside cabin will cancel before full payment is due.

Does anyone have firm plans on getting to PC yet if not by car? Mick and I won't have a car but would really like to be at PC early in the morning. Being in the UK, it would be difficult for me to organise a coach/bus to take people as I don't know what companies are good/fairly priced .. is there someone on here that would be able to look into it please? I'm sure there would be a few of us interested.

It must just be Cat 9 rooms. We have a Cat 11 for the second cruise and when my ta called they didn't have any kind of a discount or money back for the cat.

The discount definitely was hit or miss. Most of mine had a lower price already.
