We are set for another trip on the beautiful Disney Dream! Looking forward to the nice warm get-a-way! Taking a few days off from the classroom as a break between Christmas and Spring Break.
Links to Cruise Meet discussion/Fish Extenders other than those on the DIS may not be posted or offered by any other means (PM, email, "search" directions).
Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS as they have since FE began (also here on the DIS).
FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.
For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, if no one comes forward to organize a FE for this cruise, please feel free to organize the FE right in this thread.
So, we are going on our second cruise and I just today found out about this fish extender business... It sounds like fun, but I don't want to be overwhelmed either! How many participants are there?? How extensive are the gifts? WHere do we sign up if we're interested? I see sign up ends today, but I don't see where. Any details/help is greatly appreciated
Did anyone get a response on how to actually sign up for the fish extender on the Feb 6 cruise??
If not, I'm going to suggest that we give it a go without a sign-up... just bring your fish extender, bring some gifts and if you see a fish extender hanging in the halls, put a gift in it... the only "rule" I would propose is to have your gifts distributed by 7pm on Sunday so they can be packed in luggage for those that will be having their luggage handled by the cruise line
Did you ever find a group or anyone to exchange with? I'm cruising on the Dream February 6th and haven't been able to find a group. I would love to sign up for an exchange with someone.
This will be my family's first cruise and mine and my daughters first cruise ever.
I have a 13 year old and a 9 year old and was curious if anyone else might have some girls around the same age that could possibly need a buddy for the kid's areas.
Hi fellow cruise peeps! We are super excited to be cruising again with Disney! This February trip makes our 5th Disney cruise! As FL residents, it's just over an hour drive to the port, which makes it a fun quick trip for us!
My awesome daughter just turned 13, so this is her first official "teen" cruise. She navigates the decks of the Dream very well and loves going to the Edge! If anything...I know where to find her. We each carry the Wave phone and have a "home base" near the Aqua Duck for check-in points. Oh....and she's at the soft-serve ice cream station on Deck 11.
On the morning of the cruise, we have a tradition of watching the sunrise at Cocoa Beach; collecting HUGE sea shells and having breakfast to pass the time while we wait to head to the parking garage.
As a single Mom, it's ALWAYS my daughter and I on these cruises, which is the quintessential vacation for building memories together and creating traditions of our own.
Looking forward to that fun bike ride on Castaway! I'm not a young MOM, but I can keep up! LOL
