Disney Dream Doesn't Have Solid Whitewall Verandahs?!?

Have fun! :cheer2:

Curtis :cool1:

TOO LATE! lol…

We already went yesterday… =D

I didn't get to ride the Tower of Terror because the line was too long, but I did ride California Screamin' and my brother chickened out at the last minute. We went two times on Soarin' and four times on Mulholland Madness… We also watched Aladdin at the Hyperion Theater. The Toy Story Midway Mania had a HUGE line and it took us a little longer than an hour to get to the front! The World of Color was great but I have some complaints about how their crowd control system works…

1. You can't chose a showtime
2. The line for the FastPass is too long
3. The time for the line shown on the FastPass is too early and may tire your legs
4. There are no benches on the queue area
5. There are no benches on the viewing area

The only part I liked is when I saw what ticket we got, YELLOW!! :goodvibes

On the DCL website when you click on the question mark next to the description of the 6A's and 6B's it says they will have railings covered in white wall verandas. The description for the verandas on the side of the boat says they will have railings coveres with clear plexiglass. So it sounds like the railings they are currently putting on the back will be covered by the white wall veranda.

Chiming in - I have been following this and am hoping that the white wall veranda is similar to the Navigator's veranda which we adore......

Love it :woohoo:

Was upgraded to a regular one (once - and no nice deck couch seat, rather two chairs, too hotelish....) but does not have the same magic as standing with your arms on the rails and your head and shoulders out of the porthole.......

But then any cabin on DCL is better than no cabin on DCL - right!

any pictures of the staterooms in the front yet? Thinking about the upper decks that face the bow.

Where's the question mark? :confused3

On the DCL website put in a date you know the dream will be sailing to the bahamas (I did November 2011 or something like that). When the Stateroom options (with the varying date that month on the left) show up go to the tab that says "staterooms with verandah". Directly next to each category name there is a question mark button. Click on it and at the bottom of the description it says what kind of verandah that particular category has. The
6A and 6B say (copied from site):

"One bathroom includes a vanity, sink and full tub/shower, while the half bath has a vanity, sink and toilet. The private verandah features its own furniture, deck lights, railings covered in solid white walls and the security of child-proof locks."

The category 5 veranda rooms say:

"One bathroom includes a vanity, sink and full tub/shower, while the half bath has a vanity, sink and toilet. The private verandah features its own furniture, deck lights, railings covered in plexiglass and the security of child-proof locks."

HTH :thumbsup2

Could it also be possible that DCL made a mistake on their website? :confused3

Last year we booked on the first day we could for the Dream. My parents booked one of the rooms that are on the back of the ship. The CM told us those were the rooms with the white balcony. That was almost a year ago, so maybe things have changed.

I believe it was a 6B, 7690 on deck 7. There are three or 4 rooms in the back of the ship.

I've seen things like this happen a lot. Companies say things are going to be one way that might be less than ideal and then when it is actually released they have greatly improved it. and people are surprised and like the product better. Maybe thats what is happening here? pirate:

Are there any AFT rooms that aren't listed as having the solid white wall?

Only 6A and 6B are listed as whitewalls.

When my mom called To reserve, they also said it was going to be whitewalls, but year pictures don't lie!! Ofcourse, since the ship is not finised yet, everything to change...
