He sort of has a mind of his own.....he doesn't like bathtubs....so he always gets an H/C room!

Ah yes...the shower is so much easier to navigate than those pesky tubs.

for $53..($63 with tax).. last year my winning bid was $79 so I am very pleased..Although we are 3 hrs.away by car I like to start our vacation a day early- we'll have a nice dinner, hit the go cart track (if it is still there) sleep in a bit and get to the port for our 11:00 check in.. I hope CC will be open by then!!!

I got my cruise documents on Saturday. One month from today we will all be on board. I don't really care where the boat goes as long as there isn't a hurricane. Things are a mess here the day after Irene. No power at the office and a lot of homes, trees down, traffic jams. Glad to be home for the day.

We too don't care where the boat goes as long as it's not in a hurricane!

We just got our power back at 3 am! Don't realize how much you need electricity until you don't have it. Some people here are being told it might not come back on until 9/4.

We had 8 trees down in the back yard. One was half way in the pool. Luckily not any serious damage, just the fence that needs to be repaired in several places.

We are considering ourselves lucky, people within a couple of miles of us are in the dark wading around in their basements trying to salvage whatever they can.

All those hurricane stories- I'm glad you are all ok..My parents in upstate NY had 5 ft of water in their basement and had to have the fire dept. pump it out..

Now on another note: I can't believe they are changing the carry-on alcohol policy!!!! Luckily it is a short cruise but 1 bottle per person is not enough for 3 nights!!! Looks like I'll be standing outside the port with a sign
"Looking for volunteers needed to carry on some wine and beer- will pay $$$ for transport"

I know a family who lives in North Carolina, and they had a large tree smash through the roof of their house, demolishing two bedrooms, and then it rained for hours through the open hole. They have a terrible mess to clean up.

I've seen the kind of damage flooding can do, when the creek on our property is raging. It's awful. Last time, we had only a temporary power line set up for 2 weeks, with an armed guard parked in the yard protecting it. Very creepy. I should say we live out of the town in a more rural area...
Just hearing about everything happening on the east coast made me sick with the memories.....and of the awful tornadoes where I grew up in Nebraska.
I'm tired of all this bad weather!!!

Welcome! How exciting to be going on your first Disney cruise!! You are in for a treat. This will be my family's second and there is great excitement in our house.

Amanda is keeping track of the FE. If you feel comfortable sharing it here why don't you give at least your first names and the ages of the kids (if any). That way the others on the FE know who else we will need to prepare for. The other info that is needed is cabin number for delivery.

Amanda will send you the list of everyone so that you can prepare.

You can several times here to get up to the number that you need to be able to PM.

Thank you so much. It's just my sister-in-law (Nancy) and myself (Charlene) going on the cruise. We will be in cabin #2522. I can't wait. I've heard so many great things about Disney Cruises. I'm sure this won't be my last.
