DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

Wow,
So many People. This is our first time cruising and i've kind of been lurking around in the forums looking at what all happens .

I'm gonna be there with wife and 2 kids (7&4)
Hoping for an interesting first time and on a double dip .

Welcome to the group! Hope you have been taking advantage of all the experienced people on here. It never ceases to amaze me. If there is a question posted, someone will have the answer! I remember it helped me so much the first couple of times to have some background before we got the ship so we knew what to expect. I bet you guys will love the double dip. You made a good choice for a first cruise! :thumbsup2

Hello everyone! :wave2:

Chuck, could you please add us to the roll call? Bree and Payton (DS10) from Maryland, we are in room 2056, my birthday is May 30th so this trip is my birthday present to myself :goodvibes ! This will be our third Disney cruise - once on the Wonder, once on the Magic, and now we're sooo excited to be on the Dream! I guess we'll just have to book a cruise on the Fantasy while we're onboard to finish off the set ;) !

Hi Bree, my birthday is May 30th too! Traveling with my DH and DD(5)!! Great way to celebrate our day :)

Just saw the news on the storm through St Louis. I sure hope my new DIS friends are okay, keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.:worried:

I hope so too! The same storm line came thru here last night and went just to the West by about 8 miles. We watched the cloud that dropped a tornado from our back deck. We never saw the tornado itself, but it certainly looked like it had one in it. Hate this time of year for storms.

See.... that's why I like MA. No tornados, no mudslides, or raging brush fires. Just BLIZZARDS and that I can live through!!! :rotfl:

So.... DH thiks my "hide the rum" door magnet is LAME but I told him it was so lame that a few folks on here wanted to use it! Thanks for the compliments - I think they are pretty basic - and YES, if you want to use it, be my guest!!

So glad it missed you, I have only seen tornadoes on the news and I hope to never be in or near one. CNN reported that the airport was hit hard. They hope to re-open it asap.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers, thankfully my DW and DS were at home as one of the tornado's hit only a mile away...but they were safe in the house. My father was at the airport when it hit, but he was at the other end of the airport and told me "it really wasn't anything to me, just a little gusty" He is a ramp worker and had just gotten off the ramp and was actually in the basement when it all hit. He didn't even know it happened for at least twenty minutes. My sister and her twin boys were at the VFW for a fish fry in New Melle, Mo when one hit nearby. They had to dodge debris on the drive home.

I work in the news media, so I was busy at work till 2 am. They only sent me home so that I would be fresh for tonights coverage. The last I knew, there were at least 5 major tornados that hit in the area.

Once again, thank you everyone for the thoughts and prayers. There are a lot of people that need them here now.

Bill

Goodness. So glad to hear everyone is ok, especially your father being right in the middle of it. Those things can be so hit and miss. Take care and hopefully the ones the rest of the weekend won't be so bad.

I don't think it is lame at all! I will need to take artistic license and change it from rum to Jack Daniels (which probably wouldn't make much sense) to use it, but I just might.

we are doing a b2b cruise with 3 night 5/26 prior to our 5 night. We got our documents for the 3 night cruise yesterday so 5 night should be soon :thumbsup2

PM me your email address and I'll send you the actual file so it's easier to work with. :)

Spent the whole day putting stuff together for my dad's Medicaid application- I never want to see another bank statement again!!!!!! That's ONE of the reasons I need this vacation - too many people pulling in all different directions!!

Hi all! We're booked on this cruise and just found this board! How
Fun!!! Catch us up on what we've missed so far. Are we too late to order tshirts? What is FE? etc.
Me ::MinnieMo(46), DH :bday:(celebrating 49 on the ship), DS (:19):happytv:, DD (14):cheer2:, DD (8)princess:

Thanks for your concern...We are ok...Very scary.. We were spared, but downtown and the airport got hit hard. Our airport is completely shut down. So sad all the destruction a tornado can do...:sad1:

Soooo glad to hear you guys are okay! I cannot imagine going thru something like that. I hope the clean up goes as good as it can. I feel so bad for the people who lost their homes. Thank God no one was killed.
