DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

It is a direct flight from Toronto. Originally I had asked our TA to look at flying out a day early but by the time we actually got around to it, it was crazy expensive so we kept our original flights. This is all new to us & I'm a bit worried about how things will go. At least it's May & there shouldn't be any snowstorms to slow us down...HAHAHA! Guess I'll have to be more persistent on our next trip & arrive a day early...more time on the ship would be a definitely bonus! I am so excited for this cruise, just to see the look on my DD(5)'s face :)

That is good since it eliminates a lot of opportunity for problems. I think your timeline is fine without problems. Don't worry; problems are the exception not the norm. (I am just a big worrier anyway!) It will be worth it when your DD sees Mickey's big boat for the first time! pixiedust:pixiedust: (for luck)

These are the current dining rotations per an email from DCL.

Well now, look how smart (or hooked up?!) you are :) That answers my question quite nicely doesn't it. Thank you much!

YAY!!!

It amazes me that DD doesn't 'get it'...hahaha. We've looked at pictures, watched videos, etc...I know once we're there she'll be spun out and excited which makes it all that much more exciting for me!!

As long as they don't mess with these rotations we will all experience each of the menus at least once.

My girls were the same way the first time. As soon as we got to port and they saw the boat, they were like "We are going on THAT?!?!" From then on they were so excited and had a blast. My youngest was 6 then, so I know your DD will probably do the same thing!

I'm doing the  dance right now. Today I went shopping (not much else to do until I go back to work Monday) and I stopped in the local craft store to get Easter Basket goodies. I was standing in line at the register and "Fabric Markers" popped in my head so I went back and got them (while I was thinking about it - otherwise I'd forget).

So I got home and my mail was here - and in my mail was my FE I ordered from Grady's Mom (I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!) AND the 2 pillow cases I ordered for the kids. Now I have the pillow cases and the markers to drop off at guest services to have the character's sign! Last time we did a photo matt and it got all wrinkled / squished on the way home. I still have it but it's in a drawer somewhere.... (maybe if I put it in a heavy glas frame it will de-warp it) :confused3.

Anyway- it was a VERY exciting mail day!!! If I have time later I'll snap and post some pics. I am SO excited about how they came out!!

Anyway- it was a VERY exciting mail day!!!

It was a good mail day here too, but had nothing to do with the cruise. My DD self-published 2 novels on CreatSpace.com ( a division of Amazon.com) and they are now available at Amazon.com. I just got 3 copies of the 1st one in the mail today. I had already read her copy while I was in the hospital, but now I have my own and 2 more as gifts for friends. I have to get back on and order the other one. They are both available on Kindle as well and soon to be available on NOOK.

The first is a Zombie novel that takes place in the Old West. The title is "Salt Bowl Death". The other is a murder mystery with a twist. The title of that one is "Darkest Before Dawn". I read this one back when it was still on computer paper. Her pen name is Cypher Lx. I really enjoyed both books ( I know, I'm her Mom). One of my friends just finished hers and told me to tell my DD that she was mad at her..............it ended too soon.;)

Sorry, I am a proud Mom!:goodvibes

I love Grady's Mom's Fe. I want to get one for our next cruise. I can't wait to see pics of yours.

I just have to share and tell someone who would understand this...
but we're going to WDW after the cruise!:banana:
I just put my deposit down and changed the airfare. The free dinning pin helped to seal the deal DH on extending our trip. 5 days at the Wilderness Lodge!
I'm all giddy- silly I know! thanks!:woohoo:
We will be at BCV. My family loves SWW.

Oh no! I think I have Remy booked for Tuesday night. Now I wish I had booked it for the last night of the cruise.

Congrats, you have every right to be proud.

Thanks!! I just can't wait to see her face. She's a really good kid & deserves a special treat :)

Thanks for the compliments on the FE and pillow cases- I wish I could take the credit for them but all I did was pay for them!!!

It took about a month, but when I had an email 'conversation' with her I told her no rush, as long as I had them by the middle of May I'd be happy. I know she does some 'rush' orders, but I wanted to order them early enough in case she got behind. She did a fantastic job- worth every penny!!!!

I'm going to check out that createspace.com. Looks pretty cool. I actually have a book 'started' - have about 2 chapters written but then got stuck (must be the full time job, 2 kids- 1 who has some developmental / anxiety problems, a dad with alzheimers, hubby who works 2nd shift.....and pure exhaustion). Just can't get my brain to start up again. I should though. If I can find it, I'll post it on create space and ask everyone here who loves old fashioned romance novels to check it out....

It would be pretty cool to see my own book on my kindle! :3dglasses

The FE's look good. So do the pillowcases.

So I checked out Createspace.com and decided 'what the hell' and uploaded what I have written so far. So, if you like "historical" (not quite sure what time period yet" romance type novels, please check it out and provide some feedback.... Maybe I'll have some 'down' time on the cruise to pick up where I left off- only problem is I don't know where to go from here!!!!!!! Ideas??? I'll take them ALL!!!!

Now that's done.....

What is the thing you are MOST looking forward to on our cruise???

I think for me it's watching my kids faces when the first see Mickey, or a princess.

I have it bookmarked to read later. First thing I noticed was man who's dark should be whose. Sorry, it's the only line I read and it jumped out at me. My mil is a published author and has me edit for her.

********************************************************

What I'm looking forward to the most is just being with my family and us all being relaxed and watching my kids have fun.

What I'm looking forward to most on our cruise:

1. playing at the beach with my girls
2. soft-serve chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream at CC
3. a week of just enjoying my family and soaking up the magic that is Disney.
4. Meeting some new friends!!!!!

*****
okay so I have been thru most of this thread, and I don't recall seeing many pictures. Well, of you people at least! I was thinking it'd be nice to have a face with a name while we are chatting over the next 53 days!?! Please post a pic of yourself with your next post?!

Have a good night!
angie

PS- here is me now that I figured out how to do the pics. I might have tried to post this before. Anyways, now you know I'm not a gorgeous blonde supermodel! I'm just a regular Kansas/Iowa chic (well, with two gorgeous girls!)
