DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

Love the FE & Pillowcases, I am logging on now to order the pillowcases for my girls!!

Now THAT is something to be extremely excited AND proud of!! Good for her!!!!

Congrats, you have every right to be proud.

I'm going to check out that createspace.com. Looks pretty cool. I actually have a book 'started' - have about 2 chapters written but then got stuck (must be the full time job, 2 kids- 1 who has some developmental / anxiety problems, a dad with alzheimers, hubby who works 2nd shift.....and pure exhaustion). Just can't get my brain to start up again. I should though. If I can find it, I'll post it on create space and ask everyone here who loves old fashioned romance novels to check it out....

It would be pretty cool to see my own book on my kindle! :3dglasses

So I checked out Createspace.com and decided 'what the hell' and uploaded what I have written so far. So, if you like "historical" (not quite sure what time period yet" romance type novels, please check it out and provide some feedback.... Maybe I'll have some 'down' time on the cruise to pick up where I left off- only problem is I don't know where to go from here!!!!!!! Ideas??? I'll take them ALL!!!!

Now that's done.....

What is the thing you are MOST looking forward to on our cruise???

I think for me it's watching my kids faces when the first see Mickey, or a princess.

Thanks everyone. I'm glad that disneyfool was inspired by this. DD works full-time midnight shift as a college campus police officer & is taking classes full-time at the same college. She keeps a tablet with her at all times and writes down anything she thinks up. She then goes home and researches the things in her notes. Good luck and I will definately take a look at your novel preview. She had sent "Darkest Before Dawn to quite a few publishers and received many rejections before she found Create Space.

Just ordered a pillowcase for DD on our cruise. Will keep it a secret til the last night once it's all signed but can't wait to see it!! I really wanted to do the frame matting and still might, would be very cute in her room with a picture of her after our trip.

Now to add the fabic markers to my list!

Maybe next cruise I'll be daring enough to attempt the FE. Looks like so much fun.

Have a great day everyone,
Kelly

Does anyone know what brand of markers are the best to use?

Myself; Tiffanye, Our Mother; Sherrye, My Daughter; Lexye, Our Grandmother; Shirley, My Sister; Stephanye

My Son; Dravin, My Son; Dominic and My Nephew Devin

Tiffanye - what gorgeous children you have!! You're son's eyes are mesmerizing (the one's I can actually see! :rotfl: )

I'll have to hunt for a picture of us that's sort of recent. Our last DCLwas 3 yrs ago- I had very short dark brown hair and was a size 6. I'm now blonde and bigger than a size 6.... :rolleyes1

I am most looking forward to stepping on the ship with my family and hearing our name called. Oh, and seeing Atlantis. That's the 1 thing I have wanted to do for years.

I don't have a recent pic of our family. I'm always the one taking the pics so I will have to make one real fast and post in a few.

BTW- Still GTY

Not my best picture but enough to know it's us (I'm growing out my hair so it's longer now....)

Here is us: DH (John), Me (Denise), DS (Josh) and DD (Bella)

I am looking forward to Castaway Cay, which is why we love the double dips! Serinity Bay is my favorite place on earth!!! I can't wait to take pictures of the beautiful water (yes I will be the one with the giant camera taking a million pictures as my husband looks for starfish and other creatures (don't worry, he keeps them in the water and then puts them back!)

I know my pic is in my siggy...but heres another, this is us on Key West in November. (and there are tons on my blog!)

I'm having a cranky day.

You know the children's book by Judith Viorst-- "Alexandar and the Horrible Terrible No Good Very Bad Day."

not for really any big thing, cranky.

I need some sand between my toes, some ocean waves sounding in the background, and a break from the real world STAT! :)

Just think about the drink of the day, the warm sand, blue ocean and you'll be there before you know it! pixiedust:

Any magnet makers or computer artists out there?

I'm trying to remember how to do something specific-

You see the words "Welcome Aboard" or "Disney Dream", the letters themselves look like they've been cut out of a picture of the ship. I seem to remember doing this in MS Word

Anyone have an idea of what I'm talking about? I glanced at the Cruise magnet threads, OMG they'are massive, I thought I'd toss it out to a smaller pond as it where before diving into the deep waters lol

Thanks in Advance!

Beth knows how to do this. She is being slammed by doing taxes. I know she should be able help after the 18th. I will let her know you are asking about it.

Thanks All!

Actually I think I've got it ~ Roughly goes like this:

In Word: go to Insert Tab choose WordArt

Choose a version that allows to be filled (still playing)

Choose font and size (I apparently need to re download the waltograph version I used to have)

Enter text

Click on Shape Fill

choose picture for fill.

I know there is another way to do this in Paint involving layering the picture and the text - but I find Word a little easier for this

Now to find a safe download of the font lol~:rotfl:

Thank you all again for the offers!

Michelle

Thanks for the info Michelle, I downloaded a Disney font and figured how to install it and followed your directions, it worked!!:banana:

Yup - tha'ts how you do it. I use Power Point instad of Word though- have more choices with the direction of the text, etc....
Sounds like you've got it though- let me know if you need any help!

This day is not ending soon enough.....:badpc:

If there was a "like" or a "agree" button on here, I'd click it about 300 times.

If anyone has located a good download of the waltograph font, would you give me the link (and some directions). I'd love to try that too.

Anyone feel "weird" about posting their names on their stateroom doors or on their FE's? I don't mind you all knowing who/where we are, but the other 3900 cruisers.... well, I'm not one to usually mind, but my hubby and inlaws are kind of neurotic about safety/security/privacy. So, what else can we put on our FE besides our names? :)

I've had good luck here http://www.dafont.com/

some of the instructions depend on your operating system but for me and windows 7:

download waltograph where you can find it on your harddrive
unzip file ( I use 7-Zip file manager to do this)
open unzipped file
highlight and copy the 2 font files waltograph42 and waltographUI
Click on your computers control panel
Click on fonts
Paste font files in

Your programs should now be able to see the font

I think thats all;)
