DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

Testing Disney knowledge: where is this? We did this on a roll call from another cruise and thought it was fun.

Aerosmith Rockin Roller Coaster waiting to walk into the "studio". We LOVE that. Have often tried to figure out if we could make one.

that's my favorite ride too :hippie:

What she said.

I just have to share and tell someone who would understand this...
but we're going to WDW after the cruise!:banana:
I just put my deposit down and changed the airfare. The free dinning pin helped to seal the deal DH on extending our trip. 5 days at the Wilderness Lodge!
I'm all giddy- silly I know! thanks!:woohoo:

Okay...help me figure this out.

We sail five nights
So we'll our rotation will go
ABCAB

We go to restaurant A and B twice.

I think DCL told me that Pirate night is on the third night. Which would be "C" night. The one restaurant we won't hit twice. That night is pirate menu.

So that means, then, if we're in, say, Enchanted Garden on Pirate night, we won't get to ever have the Enchanted Garden menu on our sailing?

Shouldn't they put pirate night on a night that is at a restaurant we're going to be in again, not on the night that we are just in that resaurant once.

Clear as mud? Following me? Thoughts? Information?

Not always It may go. ABBCC or AABBC or ABBCA It depends. They change it sometimes. pirate:

Alrighty then. Going to give it another go. Thanks! :thumbsup2
If you go to the origianl post of the graphic and rt cick on it. Choose to save picture in a file or even your desktop. After that just open it with whatever picture software you have :) Mine worked great and it looks much better printed on photo paper.
Hope this helps:thumbsup2

RE: my back deck this morning, yeah it is wrong but you can see the blue sky:goodvibes gotta see the bright side, eh

Hi everyone. We've been told by our TA & by Disney that our flight arrival at 1pm still gives us time to meet the transfers & make it to the ship but I hate the idea of all that rushing. Guess it is all booked thru Air Canada Vacations so it's their responsibility to get us there on time...haha. Just wish I had started looking sooner & booked a hotel for the the day before. On the positive side...I doubt there'll be any lineups when we get there!!

Is anyone else flying into MCO on the day of our cruise?

Kelly

Call me Miss Paranoid, but I have always been too scared to fly in the day of. I have had a flight cancelled before and it really sucked. If we had been sailing that day instead of going to WDW, we wouldn't have been able to make it. Is it going to be a direct flight?

Hooray for you! WL is our our list to stay at one of these trips. Might as well make the most of the trip if you can. :)

It is a direct flight from Toronto. Originally I had asked our TA to look at flying out a day early but by the time we actually got around to it, it was crazy expensive so we kept our original flights. This is all new to us & I'm a bit worried about how things will go. At least it's May & there shouldn't be any snowstorms to slow us down...HAHAHA! Guess I'll have to be more persistent on our next trip & arrive a day early...more time on the ship would be a definitely bonus! I am so excited for this cruise, just to see the look on my DD(5)'s face :)

You should be fine. You will not need to worry about picking up your bags, so you should be on the road before 2pm and it is only a 45 minute ride from the airport. You might want to pack plenty of snacks since the boat stops all services (including food) at 3:30 in preparation for the emergency drill at 4pm.

Thanks Scott! That makes me feel better :) Just hope the airline is on it's toes that day!! Good call about the snacks, figured we'd barely get there in time for the drill and we will be starving. I definitely want DD in good spirits. Can you believe she doesn't even seem excited about the trip? She is a funny kid...I think it will all kick in once we arrive & she seems the Dream. On the other hand, I am crazy excited!!

We are. Our flight gets in at noon. One of us will run to McDonalds to get nuggest for the kids while the other goes to DCL Transport and checks in. Figured between the flight and transfers, we won't get ON the ship until 2-2:30 and the kids won't make it that long to eat something. If I feed them when we get on the ship, they won't eat dinner (we have early seating). I, on the other hand, can't wait to try sushi from Cabanas!!! I'm a seafood nut, LOVE the peel & eat shrimp, and want some crab if they have that too (Im going solely on pics I've seen posted).

Hi Denise :) Thanks for the tip, would have had no idea where was a McD's at MCO! That is a GREAT idea!! I'll also pack lots of snacks...helps with little ears on the plane. We also have early dinner seating. Not much of a sushi fan but LOVE seafood as well. Have a great flight & hope the timing works out well for both of us! Just have to get in the right mindset so I'm not panicky...lol. Once we're on the ship it'll be smooth sailing.

You shouldn't miss that night no matter what restaurant . You will have plenty of time to eat at your assigned restaurant and get up on deck for the festivities. The only way you might miss a dining option would be if you booked Palo or Remy.

Another thing to remember is that if you are dining in Animators Palette 2x, they only do the show on the first night. So plan accordingly. I don't think this has changed on the Dream.

And I am Mr Paranoid :rotfl: We always fly in on the first flight in the morning the day before the cruise. Just in case there are problems we have all day to catch another flight. We have had flights delayed 6 plus hours a few times. Luckily it was not for a cruise, but you never know what will happen.

Now I have been paranoid about Southwest and their plane problems. That's who we are flying.

When I was looking at the menus on allears, it had the Pirate Dinner menu and said served in all three restaurants.... That's what I was wondering about. If we have Pirate Dinner on the night we are in the "one time" restaurant... well then yeesh! But I didn't realize that they sometimes do AABBC, etc, etc. Hopefully they plan accordingly and don't have us eating the Pirate Menu the night we are in "C"

Blame it all on the television. Everynight I see food commercials right around the time dinner wears off. Then I look at menus on allears. And then, I not only feel like I'm starving, I worry about missing out on any goodness :)

Have a great day!

Hi Chuck! Our TA said that since we booked our entire trip thru Air Canada Vacations that it is their responsibility to make sure we get to the Port in time...lol. We'll see how well that works ;)

It was our only flight option on that day, no earlier flights. What's done is done at this point & I am going to hope for the best but definitely book at least a day before next time. Guess I was hoping for a better rate on the flights but they must know ppl flying into MCO are likely going somewhere Disney...they get you either way.

I am very excited for our trip & plan to stay optomistic...lol.

Sorry, I didn't want to come across doom and gloom. Many people fly in the day of the cruise and have no problems. I just worry too much. Like you said, not much you an do about it. Just stay optimistic. You are probably getting an early flight which is the best. Fewer problems in the morning. pixiedust:

Not all all, no apoligies necessary. I am usually way over-organized but this is all very new so putting my trust in a TA is hard for me...hahaha. Was definitely looking for experiences others have had - good and bad just be prepared!

My main reason for wanting to go a day early is because it is going to kill me to sit around all weekend waiting to leave!!! Fri night and all day Sat. :)

Thanks for the pixiedust!!
