DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

Wow this is going to be a HUGE FE exchange- last count we were at over 30 cabins and that's from a few weeks ago! I better get my @$$ in gear and start planning!

Just finished up 3.5 wks of working roughly 6 days/week training (Major IS upgrade at work and I've been training nurses / docs on the new system). Major surgery tomorrow a.m. so I now get to have 2 wks off .... stinks that I have to have major surgery to get any time off these days but while I'm recouping, I'll be able to work on all of my FE gifts!!! (this is assuming I figure out between now and next week what I'm giving!!).

Welcome to all the newbies sailing with us who have started posting!!! And those of you interested in meeting for drinks (in addition to any other meet and greet) COUNT ME IN!!!!!!!! Nothing like a great glass of wine with great friends to make it truly a great vacation!!!!

Good luck tomorrow with the surgery. Hope all goes well. We are game for getting together for drinks. We have late dining though so it would need to be after dinner. I am still hoping we have time for a 3:00 meet before all the activites start on Sunday. Have never had much success meeting a group at the pool before sail away, just too many people. But we can work it out.

I'm (we're) up for meeting for drinks at some point during the cruise- count me in!
Also, my 2 cents is it's hard to have a meet by the pool as there are a lot of people and it can be hetic. I am going to check out the ship again and see if I can offer a suggestion....

I just bought my Fish Extender and Pillow cases! I am SUPER excited!

Is anyone else doing Fish Extenders? Please let me know so I can get my gifts ready! Also, please let me know what room number you are in!

This is our very first cruise and I want to have a super fun time and spread the fun throughout the ship! YAY!

We will be in room 10118!

Also, does anyone know if the "Fish" is already on the wall? Or do I need to purchase one of those too? LOL! - Trying to be prepared of course!

If anyone is looking for a Fish Extender or Pillow Cases, I got them on Ebay from gradysmommy!

Hi all--I have been a board stalker long enough! I want to join in the fun!!
This cruise will include myself (DW-42), DH (50th b'day cruise) and our DS (15) and DS (12). This is our 2nd Disney cruise (Wonder 2008 land and sea) and we are beyond excited! The ship looks amazing!
We would like to join in on the FE, but being a newbie--I'm clueless
Help please?!?

I wonder since we have so many participants in the FE that maybe we could divide the group in half and have like a Group A & B as far as that goes. Might be easier for some people. Just my two cents though.

I don't think that this is a bad idea. We, however, would like to be included in both groups if this were to happen...

We can split it up, but I would do both groups as well. If we don't hear from folks about wanting to split it up, I'll just keep it as one group?



And where's philatiger's friday countdown???? I want to see number 9!

Wow- surgery can keep me out of work for almost 2 wks but it CANT KEEP ME OFF OF DISboards!
Thanks for all of the well wishes- surgery went well and I am home. To be honest, I'm on the borderline of misserable due to pain and trying to go "light" on the drugs (because they are 'binding' if you know what I mean) but the worst is done and over!!!

SO nice to come back home, get on my laptop and see only 9 more Fridays!!!

Happy to hear you are doing well. Will you be completely recovered by the cruise?

I got the suitcases out and started thinking about what I am packing. We are doing the parks pre and post cruise, so need to pack accordingly.

Glad you are doing well. Don't go too light on the meds. You can load up on fiber.

This will be my wife's, DS (5 yrs old), and my first Disney cruise. We are staying at All Star Movies for the two nights before the cruise and driving to the port ourselves. We are 05B GTY so I have no idea where we will be on the ship yet.

We have a FE on order through ebay and bought ourselves some snorkeling masks and dry snorkels to use on CC. What else should we prepare ourselves for? Do they sell pirate stuff on board for my DS for pirate night? How many suitcases do they allow you to bring on board? We are also what could be called Pooh sized, I can not sit at a booth for dining comfortably...how do I ask for a table for dining?

We are so excited about our first cruise togethor.

Welcome aboard. There is a link in the roll call for tips about cruising on DCL that might help. They do sell pirate stuff on the ship but it tends to go quick. So plan to shop early if necessary. Since you are staying at the park before the cruise, there is a store in Downtown Disney called Mickey's Mart that sells pirate stuff. Everything is under $10.00.

If you have any special requests call DCL and let them know. They can't guarantee it, but you can make the request.

Still no room number yet I have a co-worker going on a cruise next week and with all the talking about it I am really ready for our cruise. It seems so close yet so far away. I went back in the thread and printed off the graphics that were made for our cruise. Now I can check off getting the magnets made.
