Disney Dollars

One day they had them, 3 days later they were gone! I dont know why they didnt order more.

I think they had plenty, but I was only able to afford $22 right now... I am hoping to be able to get $20 each week for the next few months.
How does it work if we end up with extra DD at the end of our vacation? (I know, that's unlikely! ) The lady at Disney Store said she thought you had to keep your original receipt- is that true? Seems inconvenient..

I have less than a year to collect Disney Dollars but do not know how to get them. Do you have to use a charge card? Or can you purchase them with real cash? What is the purpose, other than a cute idea, for Disney Dollars?

You can get them at the Disney Store or by calling WDW. They are a cute idea, I buy them for my Grandchildren and since they can only be spent in Disney it is a good way for them to save for their trip.

I'm going to get mine tomorrow. I called our local Disney Store today and the CM said they only have the $10 bills left and not very many of those even. I was planning on giving these for all 4 of my girls' birthdays throughout the year until our trip...guess I had better stock up while they have 'em!

I called our local Disney Store and was advised that the Canadian stores don't carry them.

I recently received a gift of $200 Disney dollars which were waiting for me at the Animal Kingdom Lodge when I arrived. They could only be purchased in $50 increments. I recently changed jobs and my co-worked gave them to me as a going away gift. They were charged to a credit card. So, if you just want the dollars because you think they're neat, you can order them using your credit card and they will be waiting for you when you arrive at your hotel provided you are staying on property.
