Disney Dollars

Well I guess I won't be buying any more Disney Dollars before our trip..I had faxed a order for Disney Dollars the other day and I received a call at work from Disney and they said that they will be charging not the $3.00 that I paid last month for a order of disney dollars but NOW they will be charging $10.00 to send them.. I told him to forget it.. He said that they were loosing money, imagine that.. I live almost 100 miles from the nearest store so I think I'll by pass them now for our trip but it was for the grankids report card money, but I think I have enough for them to spend as they see fit..I just thought you all would like to know about this, as you all have given so many hints and advice to us all.. Thank you

10.00 to mail Disney Dollars? Are they crazy??

I was VERY lucky, my Aunt who lives in Maine stopped in the disney store and they had the $$! She picked me up 50.00 more

This is ridiculous. How are they losing money to mail paper? For heaven's sake, it can be insured through the USPS for less than $10! I really hope the new dollars are in the stores before the end of May. I have a Mastercard gift card that expires at the end of May and I plan to use it to buy Disney Dollars.

This might be a stupid question but how doe sthe getting the Disney Dollar work? Is it like If you want a $1.00 Disney Dollar you pay $1.50 for it? Or is it $1 or $1? New to all this and trying to catch up. All the help I can get it wonderful! Thanks!

Disney Dollars are dollar for dollar. They have 1's, 5's and 10's.
Right now though they are nearly impossible to find in the Disney Stores because they are changing the looks of the money for the new celebration.

I was told they are coming out with the new money the beginning of May, before the celebration kicks off!

I agree Jennifer~ you can priority mail it with insurance for under $6.00!!
Makes no sense to me, maybe they were getting too many calls for it??

I would imagine they are just trying to discourage this practice. They probably have more than enough business just with the people on site. Taking time to fill mail orders takes them away from other things. To tell you the truth, I'm really surprised that The Days Of Christmas still fills and mails the GOH badges for free. It takes a huge amount of time for those people dealing with this. I know this because I talk to those CMs on a regular basis. They can barely keep up with the engraving for the people coming into the stores.

Thanks for the info. Do they expire though. Like if I bought some when the new stuff comes out and held onto it utnil we go in 2007, can I still use it? I would think so - money is money and they get mine either way - right?

They don't expire!
