Any DCL veterans remember if you can use Disney Dollars on the ship?

Also does anyone know how the pager system works on board for families?

I don't know how DVC plays into it...but you can only use DD on the ship to settle your shipboard account. It cannot be used at any of the bars or shops onboard. No cash in fact can be used except to tip the room service people. All transactions are put on our KTTW card. You can either assign a credit card to your KTTW card or pay it off with cash, DD, travelers checks, etc. as you go. This has to be done at Guest Services.

You can apply Disney Dollars to your onboard account at Guest Services.

Each family is assigned one pager for the cruise, regardless of the number of children or clubs that they are in. On one of our cruises, our DD didn't want to go shopping with us in St Maarten and she paged us while we were on the island. We were only a few miles from the ship, but it was nice to know that it worked away from the Magic.
