You can buy Disney Dollars at any Disney Store-they can be used at Disney Stores or at any of the parks. It's a great way for children to save for a future trip if you give them Disney Dollars since they can only be spent at the above places.

I love Disney dollars! I just got some from my kids for my birthday! Can't wait to spend them in May they also have gift cards that work the same as the dollars

We use DD for many things, we give them in stocking, easter baskets, from the tooth fairy (she leaves a note saying "tink suggested you might like these better than regular dollars"), my girls love it! We get them in 1's, 5's & 10s and we give it to the kids so they have their own money in the parks. Oh ya, we also use DD for allowance.

Can we buy these online anywhere? We're going in May and wanted to use these for Ds's birthday money, but can't get to the parks before then! Does the resort counter have them that I can get them when we check in? Thanks!

You can't get them online anywhere, I guess because it's a cash for cash transaction (even in person they won't accept credit cards as payment) but I believe the resort will have them when you check in. Note that they might not have the current year's "themed" dollars available. I bought some the other night for someone at DTD (the joys of being local!) and had to search to find the 2009 ones.

The theme parks are also the only place to get the 2009 dollars that are series "D" -those purchased at the Disney Store are generally either series "T" or "A".

I just got home from the mall. I bought disney dollars for easter gifts for my kids and my neice and nephew. I know some people order them online, but I think there is a service charge. My kids love disney dollars. There are so cute.

Well, that's not a Disney company. The link takes you to an ebay webpage that sells Disney dollars from 2007-2009 -and of course, you're paying extra for them on Ebay.

Just bought some Disney Dollars today at the Disney Store, they are really cute. My daughter and I keep taking them out of the envelope to look admire them. I think I'll buy some each week to save up for souvenirs.

Here is a link to a thread for play disney money designs I found on the DIS Forum Creative DISigns. I use these each week to give to DD10 and DS4 for allowance. Right before we go on our trip we'll count how much they have saved and that's how much we'll buy in Disney Dollars at the Disney Store before we go on our trip. Our DD10 would spend real money in a heartbeat, so this way she can't spend it before we get to WDW!

FYI, I use my Disney Visa to buy DD all the time at our Disney Store. And I thought I'd read you could buy them online but I don't know where and I've never done it. I feel safer just buying them at my DS. Of course if you don't have one I love the scan a PP put above that they use for their kids.

Can you buy them at those Disney stores at the mall or just the stores at the Disney parks?

I get mine at my local store in my local mall. Sometimes they run out so I tend to buy $50 at a time.

Not only can you buy them directly from the Disney store for cash, you CAN buy them with your Discover card - I did that just before Christmas. I bought $150 that way. And a couple of weeks ago I used my Simon Malls Visa gift card. I've also used my Visa Debit card to buy some. You don't have to buy them in any set increments either. With my Mall Gift Card I bought $76 worth.

You can also buy them by mail order from WDW in Orlando, but I'm not sure of the mailing address. Someone posted it on the boards not that long ago. I'd suggest trying a search.
