One of the great tips I've read on here is instead of using the ATM at DL go buy Disney Dollars, there are no fees. My questions are: can these be bought at any gift shop? And are they accepted at the vending carts, like for cotton candy or popcorn? Thanks again! :flower3:

oops-one more thing, is there tax on them? If so what is the tax in DL?

There is no tax on Disney Dollars. They are a $1 exchange. They are accepted at all places in DL that accept cash, just understasnd that if you need change, change will not be in Disney Dollars, just in "regular money". I dont think all shops have them, but I do know WOD has them, the shop in ToonTown (5 or dime I think its called), Emporium, most of the bigger stores.

HTH!!

I bought them at Greetings from California giftshop in DCA. They pretended like they didn't have them, but I perservered and lo and behold, they were under her cash drawer.

And then after all that, the outdoor vending cart I had my eye on had closed. Never got my Mickey Bar.

Something to think about, if you, like me, had a Wamu account (actually they are still working under that name, aren't they), now our accounts are Chase, and the Chase ATMs at the park and DTD are converting over to accept the Wamu accounts at no fee. Someone either here or elsewhere used her Wamu card at a Chase ATM in DTD and had no fee last week or so.

Sweet! Really? We do use WaMu-finally something good from banking with them

Yep! We had already moved the direct deposit stuff elsewhere, but decided to keep the wamu account open just for that. :goodvibes
