Disney Dollars

I tried searching for this info but couldn't find any answers.

Is there any way to buy Disney Dollars without being in Disney? I wanted to get them as a thank you for my bil for doing major work at our house. We're headed down together in August for a family vacation.

You can get either Disney Dollars or a Disney Gift Card at a Disney store if you have one in your area. Otherwise, you can go to the Disney store online and order a Disney Gift Card. I got one for my DD for Christmas and we are putting it in her stocking - that way she will get to spend it while we are at WDW.

You can buy Disney Dollars at your local Disney Store.

A few years ago I bought my dd a Disney gift card to use on a trip, but it wasn't accepted anywhere at Disney World except the Disney store in Downtown Disney. Maybe someone who's tried recently can confirm whether or not that's still the case. If you want to give your bil something to use on vacation, Disney Dollars might be the better option.

We have been going to Disney at least once every for a while. My Mom always buys us disney dollars at the disney store near us and we use them for souvenirs. They were taken pretty much everywhere in disney except at certain resorts like the Swan and Dolphin because those arent actually disney hotels even tho they are on the property. As for the gift cards I have no idea how they woirk.
