Disney Dollars Before a Trip

Is there a way to obtain DIsney Dollars BEFORE going to WDW?

If I go to Disney Store online, they have them in the form of "Gift Cards"... Now I'm not TOTALLY opposed to the idea. However, it's for christmas gifts for our 3 kids for our March trip and I would love and much rather be able to give them the physical disney dollars.

I looked on eBay, but mostly it's collectors with previous years' Disney Dollars, I'm just looking for straightforward, current-year 1:1 Disney Dollars...

Unfortunately, us good 'ol Canadians can't get Disney Dollars north of the border. I am pretty sure US Disney stores sell them (and from what I have heard, sell out of quickly). Unless you go across the border to a Disney Store or know someone who is going to Disney and will pick some up for you, you can't get them. Likewise on the gift cards unless you want to pay a $25.00 shipping charge.
I just went through this for our Nov. trip. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

The only suggestion I have for you is to google Disney Dollar images and print them out for the kids. Then, when you get to Disney you can buy the real thing and swap them.

Actually, sadly, the Disney Stores have discontinued them. So they're very difficult, if not impossible, to find. My local store sold out several months ago. My understanding is that the only place that regularly stocks them are the Disney resorts. And of course, eBay, if you want to pay the premium.

You can order them from Disney.

We ordered ours and received them in about 10 days. Cost of the disney dollars themselves and $15.00 shipping.

I hope you didn't get shorted.... 18 @ $5 is only $90... It should have been 20 @ $5...

And I agree that it's a bummer that the Dis Dollars are no longer being sold. My mom gave me a Dis Gift Card for my b'day this summer, but had to get me at least a few Dis Dollars, because they are more fun/cuter to give and get!

As you can see from our post, you can purchase Disney Dollars. You can purchase them while at Disney, or you can do as we did, and mail in our order. In less than 10 days our Disney Dollars arrived.
