Disney Dollars at Restaurants?

Can I use Disney Dollars to pay for meals at all disney restaurants? I'm trying to plan to save up for A Few character meals and I know if I convert my money to Disney Dollars it will keep me from diging into it?

it is my understanding you can us disney dollars anywhere on property. i would suggest tipping in good ole US greenbacks, however!

The only places you may not be able to use Disney Dollars are the restaurants in the Swan and Dolphin. I know that you cannot charge to your room key.

On our last trip, we used Disney Dollars at Donald's Breakfastasuarus, Rose and Crown, and Hollywood and Vine as well as a multitude of counter service locations. We had no trouble anywhere.

I save up $650 in Disney Dollars just for the sole purpose of paying for all of my meals with them. I liked not worrying about "spending" money v.s. "dining" money. It also made sure that I didn't dip into the money while I saved. Here are places I used them:
Chef Mickey's
O'hana's
Boma's
H&V
Liberty Tree Tavern
All Star Sports food court
various food carts sellling water or popcorn or ice cream.

I have already started saving up for my trip in Nov of 2004! $10 here, $20 there and by the time you go......you are all set!
