Disney Dollars and Gift Cards ???

O.k., I know that Disney Dollars can be used through out WDW and to settle up on the cruise. Does anyone know if the Disney Gift Cards that you can purchase at the mall Disney Stores be used the same way?

Sorry but the gift cards are for use only in the Disney Stores.
