Can you buy disney dollars in the park using a credit card, or do you have to use cash to buy them? Also where is the best place to buy them?

Disney Dollars may be purchased at any Disneyland Resort Merchandise Location using any form of valid payment with the exception of the Disney Gift Card or the Disney Dream Rewards Card.

OP, last March one of the women on the ladies trip could only find the Dollars at ONE location in DCA, the giftshop at the front of the park. That's where I found them, too, but it took some heavy convincing to get the CM to look for them. She wanted to just tell me she knew nothing about them, but when I urged her to look, she found them under her cash drawer in the register (obvious place to look, don't know why she supposedly didn't know they were there).

I haven't looked for them in DL, but maybe they are easier to find on that side. Just be aware that, at least in DCA, you might be in for difficulties.

I used them for cash, but now that my wamu account is Chase, and the ATMs at the parks are Chase, I just get cash from the ATMs instead of DDs.
