Hi there!
This is my little pre-trip thingie. I was originally going in September, but because my dog needed surgery, I'm going in January. (Surgery was very, very expensive and completely drained my vacation savings).
This is my first trip solo and my first trip with my service dog. Overall it should be pretty interesting.
I'm already running into bunches or problems, and I've only been trying to plan this for a few days. Somewhere that I can lay everything out might help.

This is my to-do list, which I'll edit as I go.

1. Book hotel
2. Book flight and magical express
3. Get proof of vaccination/good health from Pi's vet
4. Erm... Dining? I am supposed to do something with that, right?
5. Get tickets
6. Plan what I need to get before I go... do I need anything?
7. Figure out what to pack
8. Wait... this is only five months away? !!!!!

I looked at trains last night, and it would seem I can get a train that stops halfway down to Florida and makesme switch to a different train. That would be good because you can't expect Pi to last 20 hrs without going to the bathroom.
I'm also going to look into busses, and see if maybe they stop a bit more often.

I just thought I'd put a picture or two in here, it looks so bare!
This is Pi!
Here he is on a bus:

On a more trip-related note I'm working on a budget so I know how much I need to save every week. I scraped up the money in three months last time. This time I'm working two jobs and I've got nearly five months, so I'm not too concerned.

For transportation, I've looked at every semi-time effcient train route to Florida that I could find, and most have a "half way" stop about four hours from home. Which leaves Pi sitting on a train for 18hrs, which just wouldn't be fair to him. Busses I still have to look at.
I despise flying, but if the bus thing doesn't play out I'll check about flying. I'd prefer to not fly though.

I told my mom I'm planning a trip, and she's considering coming with me for a day or two (then going to see family we have in Florida). I did want to just go by myself though... maybe I'll talk to her, do this trip myself and plan one later in the year with her. That makes two trips for me :P
I've decided to fly. Trains are just too long of a ride for my little guy. I'm very, very concerned with security at the airport. I don't want to get stopped because of my dog and run the risk of missing my flight. I guess I'll go very, very early. I'm currently reading up on FAA regulations, so that when I make the reservations and tell them about my service dog I'm sure of the laws.
I'm still trying to settle on exact dates and such, which is hard. My ADD is terrible, my sister usually helps me plan (even though we're both terrible at it), when I'm trying to plan alone I just get all confused and it doesn't work. My mom is one of those people who will make reservations like a week before going, so she's not being much help either :\

Trying to navigate the WDW website is not easy. Combine that with math and it's REALLY BAD.

Hotel by itself: $576
6 Day ParkHopper: $262
That's $838 together

Which is confusing because it's significantly lower than I thought it'd be. Hmm... why was it so much more last time? I paid around that, and I had three people in my room.

Okay. My moms are coming. But they're only going for three days, the other days I'm going solo. They are however, staying in my hotel room the whole time. That means I'm only paying 1/3 of my hotel costs! This trip gets cheaper and cheaper!!!
We're sitting down once more tonight to double (triple) check the dates, so I can book tomorrow. How exciting!

Math hurts my brain. However, unless I'm very much mistaken it's significantly cheaper to drive than to fly... and seeing as my mom wants to go whichever is cheaper, looks like were driving.
I'm a bit perturbed at the constant (like twice a day) plan switching. However, driving is much better than flying! I don't like flying. Driving might be a bit boring, but hey, I've got a DVD player for the car. :)
Reservations won't be made tomorrow, because my moms are switching the plans too often still. Now they want to move it back by a whole week...not cool. If thats the case I might just say see ya and go it alone. Meh. This needs to be easier.
