I just got an email from www.disneyshopping.com and it is from DisneyDirect.com!

I guess they've decided to change their name again!

It was a coupon offer $20 off $100 and free shipping.

Disney sold "The Disney Store" to the Children's Place---so they couldn't keep that name. I guess now that Disney Catalog and Disney Store are different companies--they decided to go with a new name to further point out the change. Who knows---seems silly to me.

I got the email too. From what I can tell, you just need to enter the code DISNEYSHOPPING. I don't think you would need to have received the email. Am I wrong?

At first I thought it was a spoof or phishing e-mail. Been getting several of those lately, but this one really threw me because yesterday I received a DisneyDirect e-mail. Weird.

No, but I think I saw free shipping when I clicked on the link and went to the website. I think it said select items. Sorry!

Funny thing is when I go to login to buy something it tells me I am not a registered user. When I try to register it tells me that the login name is already used. ????? I really wanted to buy a few pj's for the kids for December!

That would explain why the costumes are different. I ordered the Tinkerbell costume back when all the codes are out. The one in the store is adorable but the one I got is totally different. It's still cute but it has long sleeves and the skirt isn't done as nice as the store one. Still, got a great deal and also explains why the online one included the wings.

YEP--that's why. I wonder how much longer they will allow people to keep returning Disney Catalog costumes to the Disney Store. I'm surprised they have been doing it this fall---especially since they are different costumes (most of them) and are different companies. I think that might be the next change that's coming----that we will HAVE to mail back returns. We'll see.

I was looking at the infant costumes and the same ones have been selling MUCH cheaper on the Disney Deals auctions.

kept the online rights for either 1 year or 18 mos (I forget) anyway, TCP now will assume www.disneystore.com and that is why disney needed to change. It's also why disney is selling off the costumes so cheap - TDS will be the only ones to carry them and the clothing going forward. I think that disney will retain the right to sell collectibles and pins online (the stuff that TDS doesn;t sell)

I was at Disney store this week and asked about returns from website. CM told me until Nov. 1st.
