hi, can somebody explain to me how it works, can you book it with any Disney Hotel?

Also for 2007 it will not let me add it when I try to get a quote on the Disney website>

Will it became available at a later date and if I book now will I be able to add it on.

It seems an Ideal way to budget to me and it would be excellent if we could have it, I am just a bit confused by it.

Thank you for any help.

Firstly there is a section on the Dis about Resturants and a sub section there on DDP that will help, I have it free with my passes this year, for each meember of your party you get per night stayed a Table service meal, a counter service meal ( think hamburgers etc) and a snack, think coke, or popcorn, you can uses these as you wish, you could do burgers one day and two table service the next, it expires at 11.59pm check out day, cannot hold over, you can use the CS for take away breakfast or a table service for character breakfast, but some top notch resturants called signature ones require two table service allowances.

Kids under 9 must eat off kids meals and are not transferable.

I'm no expert as we've never used it due to the fact we've never been to WDW yet, however, we booked it for next year at a cost of £21 per adult (there's 4 of us, 2 adults, a 14 year old and an 11 year old). You get 1 table service, 1 counter service and 1 snack per night of your stay, it includes 18 % gratuity and tax. Reading the dining plan board people pay out of pocket for some things, share, all sorts of configurations. It has to be booked as part of your holiday with tickets as well. Disney may not be booking because I think they've not yet released the prices for 2007 according to some posters.
Think you may just have to search the site.

UK operators seem to book WDW earlier than when booking direct, I think they have allocaoted rooms in advance, and then subsrcibe to disney when they release theirs.

I changed my package firstly booked room only at the Polynesian but when the free DDP came out my USA TA converted it to that.

Yep i'm having trouble adding it on the website too, that's why i posted about uk tour operators to find out who will let me book it.

hi, Lizzy Lemon who did you book with out of interest? £21 a day seem a good price to me. we wil be two adults and a 5 y/o.

Hi guys,

we did the dining plan through first choice last sept and loved it. We did miss visiting sizzlers, etc., and did pay for food on our visits to US/IOA, but we got to eat in some great disney places that otherwise would have been out of our budget.

Le Cellier and Cali Grill (Fab!) would have been the priciest, and oddly enough had waiters that made sure we didn't miss out on any courses available - the nice guy in Le Cellier pointed out the steak and lobster was included in our selection, the ex marine waiter in the Cali included a really nice tomato flat bread, and both pointed out that DD then aged 10 wasn't ordering enough food as she was an adult on the plan! Of course I do realise their tip is added on as a percentage of the DP! We tipped the nice staff on top and they all tried to stop us by saying tips were included!

We'd do the plan again if we could, remember to book popular restaurants in advance.

And I challenge you to use up all your snacks - we had 12 left!

Lynn

I rang disney direct or a quote, who stated the DDP is not loaded onto the system yet, any day now it should be on the system.

I have three weeks coming up the last at WDW so it will root me down to WDW rather than going to the 192 area, but my first week I will go to Sizzlers etc.
