My fiance and myself are going to Disney World for the first time. We have made reservations for the following activities and were wondering if we could get feedback on the experiences that you had. Were they good or bad.

Thank you

We are going to:

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Hoop-De-Doo Musical Revue
The Crystal Palace
Disney Spirit of Aloha
Once Upon A Time Breakfast (Cinderella’s Castle)

:worship: Mickey is Great!!

The only place on your list I have been to is the Crystal Palace, several times. Every time, whether it is breakfast or dinner it is always a wonderful experience. Food is wonderful and the atmosphere is as well. Have fun and congratulations on your engagement! :)

My husband and I went to the Hoop-De-Doo on our honeymoon and we had a blast. We went early and spent some time in Crockett's tavern before our dinner and that helped our mood. :rotfl2: We really enjoyed the dinner show at Hoop-De-Doo and hope you have a great time! We really liked the food and I hope you do, too!

I have been to Akershus and Crystal Palace. Both for breakfast. I love Crystal Palace it is one of my favorites. It is a good buffet with made to order omelets, fruit pancakes and I think eggs. We love Pooh and the gang. Akershus is a pre-plated meal; eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, fruit and cinnamon rolls. We had 5 princesses; Belle, Snow White, Jasmine, Aurora and Cinderella.

You can pull all the menus up at www.allearsnet.com.

We've done Crystal Palace for breakfast and had great service and yummy food. We also did Akershus for a Princess lunch last year and had possibly the best service we've ever had anywhere. (I doubt she's still there, but Mia was our server and was beyond great. :) )

That is a whole bunch of character/experience meals.

Those are fun, but for me and the boyo, they get tiresome. Not because they are boring, but because they are loud, and fun, and crazy, and require a lot of energy.

I would suggest having at least one quiet romantic meal, especially Le Cellier or Chefs de France...

We've been going to Hoop Dee Doo since I was 7 and now i'm 25 and it never gets old! you will love it! and the food is great. We ate at Akershus last time we were there and really enjoyed it. We were nervous because the food sounded more adventurous than we normally like, but there are plenty of options for every appetite. Use it as a chance to try a bunch of new things. And get the mashed rutebagas (spelling?) with your entree--they sound strange but are really yummy!

If it is the princesses that you want to see then I recommend seeing them elsewhere. The food at Akershus and the Castle are not the best Disney has to offer. What type of food do you like? My pick's are Ohana or Kona,
Sci-fi or Prime Time for the atmosphere and fun. Le Cellier for steak.....I could go on and on....let's hear what others have to say............ :cheer2:

I have tried CP for breakfast only, & it is a must for my family. The buffet is so fresh, & there are so many choices. We also had breakfast in Cinderellas castle, it was a fun experience & the food was pretty good. WCC had good food, there was a good bit to choose from. I only ate the pulled pork & the sides. My DS loved the ribs. I have not been to the Luau, but I love O'Hana's at the Poly.

I have only been to the Cinderella Breakfast and Crystal Palace and I enjoyed both of them.. The atmosphere and the food..

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
The Crystal Palace
Once Upon A Time Breakfast (Cinderella’s Castle)

I have been to the above three.

We did Akershus for lunch once and dinner once. The first time I thought it was okay food the second time I thought our meal was awful. My husband who has an appetite similar to our beagle thought this was awful food both times. If you want princesses/characters I would highly suggest 1900 Park Fare. We have done breakfast there twice and absolutely loved it. It is a cinch to get to either Epcot or MK using the monorail.

Crystal Palace: We did lunch here once, it was wonderful. Great food, we all loved the Pooh characters and the restaurant itself was so pretty. For some reason we have never been back, we prefer Liberty Tree Tavern just a tad, probably because they bring the food to you which is kind of nice. But I can highly recommend CP based on our experience.

CRT Breakfast. This was a pretty good breakfast but the price now keeps me away. Even before they hiked the price we thought 1900 Park Fare was a better breakfast. It is very nice to eat in the castle however.

And since other are listing their favorites I will too! We love Sci Fi (great burgers, go for lunch its cheaper, very fun atmosphere). Le Cellier, so romantic and wonderful steak and salmon selections and the best Creme Brulee I have ever had. O'Hana, we just loved the atmosphere, the food was wonderful and the Lapu Lapu's are great! But you said Spirit of Aloha so that is probably good too. It just sounds to me like all of your meals are kind of hectic in nature. Sometimes we enjoy something a bit more quiet and low key since the parks drain us of energy. Have a great trip!

We loved the Hoop Dee Doo. It is a lot of fun - corny jokes, singing etc. The food is good, but certainly not gourmet. We will be going again in October.
I have not eaten at the others, we will be doing CRT for the first time in April. It is pricey for breakfast, but DGD is princess crazed! :rotfl:
I too would suggest one quiet romantic meal for you both. I would suggest Le Cellier in Canada or the California Grill at the Contemporary. Both are very nice and you can treat yourselves to a special meal
Is this your Honeymoon or just a trip for the two of you?
Enjoy!

We love Crystal Palace and go for lunch every trip. This time we're trying dinner instead.

We have been to Akershus, but only at the PSB breakfast...........I love the restaurant and the princesses, but don't know anything about their lunch or dinner fare.

We've been to Cindy's every trip except the last one. We like it very much. Good food, nice service, great atmosphere.

Oh, we're listing faves, too? Boma and Le Cellier, and (against popular opinion) Coral Reef.

Been to all except Akershus.

We really enjoyed all of them, except CRT breakfast. I have been to the castle for lunch and dinner as well (before the "princess makeover") and found these meals much more enjoyable.

IMHO that is a lot of character/entertainment dining. I think I might prefer to add one non-character meal to help prevent sensory overload! If I were to pick I'd add the Coral Reef, Flying Fish or Cali Grill in place of one of the princess meals.

Hoop De Do is a ton of fun!

We've had excellent experiences at Crystal Palace for lunch. They have a really good Salmon dish there on the buffet that is quite good. :thumbsup2
