Hi

Can anyone please explain disney dining to me? I have read the info on the disney website but I am still a little unclear about it all.

If you dont have all your meals on one day can you use them the next day?

Would the disney dining cover me for the following in one day?

Breakfast: (at ASMo)

cereal,toast, bagel and juice

Dinner:

Hot dog, fries and coke

Tea:

Burger, fries and a drink?

Hi Lora

I believe that you can carry your meals over if you do not use them all in one day, you just need basically to use them all before the end of the stay in order not to lose them. You will get one snack credit, one counter service credit and one table service credit per day....

For example you could use your snack credit for most things under 4 dollars, your counter service would be burger and fries plus desert and drink at say Pinnochios and then you could use your Table service for appetiser, entree, desert and drink at for example The Rose and Crown, hope this makes sense take a look at the All Ears website they explain it brilliantly on there and also details where you can sue your credits and for what ....

credits only expire when you leave, you can use any combo on any days ie 2 counter service 1 day and none the next. hope that makes sense.

the best way to look at it is 1 credit of each for as many days as you stay
ie 14 snacks 14 counter and 14 table...how you use them is up to you :)

I think it would prove a more expensive way to pay for your meals if you were thinking of eating hot dogs and burgers for your meals, but you could eat like that one day using two days counter service meals and save your TS meals for signature meals or Hoop de Doo which needs two ts each person. Your table service meals are exchangable at a lot of places that appear to be lovely to eat at, I can't say how nice as we haven't been yet but I've got all our places sorted out already for next year ready to make to ADR's.

Two weeks ago we were in Disney on the free Disney dinner plan.
Familiy of four, one child, seven nights, each got, per night.
One Table service meal, thats a sit down meal starter, main course, and afters.
One counter service meal, think Mcdonalds type, a combo of Burger/fries Drink and afters, ( can ask for grapes! not cake)
One snack per day, a drink, water, or fruit.

We had allocated 28 of each on arrival, we could use as we wish. We had a lot of table service meals booked at the start to used them more, but for example when we went to the Animal Kingdom they do not have table service meals so I used more CS there.

Now i had booked a few more table service meals in advance, and working out when to use the TS I paid for a couple of meals, so I had a few spare CS at the end, as we stayed in MK late on the last day we used these up there.

So seven nights credits used over eight days.

Snacks we used a little for breakfast, a cake or muffin but we could have used a CS if we wanted a big breakfast type platter.

Each time you use the DDP, you get a receipt with the remainder credits for that type say TS, 24/20 etc.

The servers can see from your KTTW card how your party is made up, say three adults and one Kid and they audit the child meals. The system doesnt.

It will work out very expensive if you plan to eat hotdogs and burgers for your meals all the time :)

Also you would run out of counter service (quick service) credits and not use use table service credits at all.

I may have misunderstood your post so please disregard this if I have.

I think a lot of people are being very evangelical about the DDP at the moment but it definitely isn't the best option for everyone!

Praise the mouse :rotfl:
Paulh

Personally if I just wanted to eat CS (burgers, fries and the like) I wouldn't bother purchasing DDP cos it'd end up costing more but if it's free then see it as a way to try some TS places you may not have considered before =]
